OK is it just me or are cops out there (IMO) complete ignorant gun carring control assholes?
I mean I have friends who are cops and they are USUALLY pretty cool and ok to talk to and if I had to get pulled over I would like one of them to do it. But I swear everyone else that I run into must either be male hating dykes or have the nite stick jammed so far ...
Ok anyhow here is the story. We are all out on the bikes tonight just riding. We stop for a break and to bullshit for awhile and low and behold some lady cops pulls over a truck for God knows what. She calls for backup and then yells at us to leave the parking lot of the local buisness we were parked in front of. As in ...
HEY YOU!! LEAVE NOW! I SAID ALL OF YOU LEAVE!!!!!!
and then we did. We started up the bikes and moved 1 buiness down. :-) I mean hell it isn't posted no loitering. No trespassing signs not a thing. And hell we give half of the places most of our buisness so I really doubt they would run us off.
Anyhow she has all the guys pulled out of the truck and making them pour all their OPEN BEER on the ground. You caught that right?? OPEN BEER!!! well she keeps them there for awhile blaa blaa searches the truck and with or without tickets lets them ALL GO FREE.
She then gets in her car like she is driving in the Indy 500 and comes screeching over to where we were parked. She then says :
I SAID LEAVE!!! IF YOU DON'T leave I WILL TAKE YOU TO JAIL!
We then say umm but it isn't posted?
She replies:
I DON"T CARE WE HAVE HAD A COMPLAINT FROM ALL THE BUISNESSES IN TOWN (BAHAHAHAHAHA THAT WAS FUNNY) THAT THEY DON'T WANT YOU HERE SO LEAVE.
And we ask if we can see the law or the complaint... and then she gets really pissy
She then some where in there notices we aren't 18 yrs old and that most of us are close to or over 30 yrs old. She then begins to tone it down some what if that is possible.
We then ask her if it is JUST US she is moving along or if the car clubs had to to as well down the road as we would HATE FOR HER TO BE PROFILING!!!
ENd of the story.. no tickets. Got to see a what a woman (no offense to the women here) asks like when the badge goes to her head. What a BIATCH she was.
Any thoughts?

i think that most cops are reasonable people. it's just some of them are extra extra assholes and that taints the rest of them for us lay people.
there is that intimidative, authoritative aspect of them that is completely condescending, arrogant and rude. most of these are men.
cheap power trip.
but with that said, most of them that i've come across are ok, and most are pretty lenient about speeding, minor evasions of the law.

Most i've known are pretty okay people too. Though i'm sure there are some complete bastards in there, like the cop in my hometown that is _afraid_ to do his work. That really stinks.

I think when they're just a small time local cop, they have issues, if it's something bigger, they seem to chill.
I know a county cop round here, he's awesome... my friend is his neighbor, they play basketball, and he let's them sit in his car and look at stuff... he talks bad about all the local small town cops that are dicks. He tells us what he'll let slide, etc..

When I was 15, I was dirt road hoppin on my old dirt bike... we had to hit some hardroad to get to another gravel road... guess who was on that road? a cop... he pulled me over...
found out i had no liscense... but told me I could ride home in the ditches as long as he didn't catch me on that road again...
but then there have been those total assholes... like the guy who took an hour to give me a ticket at 4am...
he pulled me over at 3am.. *for rolling thorugh a stopsign about a mile from my house, right by the clubhouse, heactually pulled me over on "private property"* but he was all "why'd ya blow through the sign?" I said..... "to be honest, i'm falling asleep at the wheel, my house is JUST around the lake.... i'm tired, and want my bed." he then proceeded to take an hour to write me a ticket, and even called me out of my truck in the middle of it to go back to his truck so he could ask me a question about my insurance.
it was mid december and about 10 below it seemed...
he was a total fuckface.
And as it turns out, my friends neighbor later told me.... since he took an hour to give me the ticket, I could've had it dropped due to some law that they can't detain you for that long blah blah blah....
wish i'd known that then :">
live and learn i guess.....
I like most cops though... I guess... I've met a girl cop, she was cool, and hot suprisingly [img]tongue.gif[/img]
I just hate those cops that trip with power issues.

i hate all cops...they are all pigs....everyone of them. i've never met a cop i like. and i've had my share of run in's with traffic violations. i try my hardest to be professional and courteous but it is very hard to do when you get no respect in return.

mililtary is alright, my dad and both my grandfathers were in the millitary, all very high ranking officers. but cops will never be good in my eyes, i dont' care who i know becomes cops, i will never like them.

here's a story of a 'ok' cop...
so it was like 3am or some shit (reaaaally early)
and i was at a red light (cantrell and university
for those interested)...
i was on cantrell going east and to my right...
(on university heading north) was this cop
that had just pulled over some guy. he was giving
this guy a sobriety test... walkin the line and
all... and it was just us on the road this
early in the morning....
but the fucking red light wouldn't EVER change
to green....
so i'm sitting there.. watching the whole show
because I COULDN'T GO!!!!
so eventually the cop saunters over... (heh heh)
and he waits for me to roll my window down
before telling me to run the red light...
hahahahahahhaaaa
that was funny.

I have one for ya just to show ya how much they hate bikes here yet when I get my helmet off and they see who I am and where I work they are all like ... oh sorry had to do my job... be on your way and don't let it happen again sort of thing.
Anyhow I always work the late shift. The stop light right next to where I work goes blinky blinky in both directions at about 11pm but I get off at about 1130pm. Somewhere near midnight it just sits at green for the normal traffic and Red for where i will be entering. Well, anyone knows who rides bikes... a lite will rarely change for a bike and it is a pain in teh ass to try to hit the magnet right to get it to. Anyhow it is like some Tues at midnight and I got a few mins late. Since cops frequently drive the road in front of my work it is not unusual to see them parked out front or driving the same road. Well, I leave work and just as I pull onto the side road I notice the light just changing from blinky blinky to Standing Red. SHIT! Well, I have to make a left hand turn and in the 9 years I have been here the light has NEVER once changed for my bike. So I look both ways and run it (after making a complete stop) Anyhow a cop coming at me jams on his brakes rips around and races to catch up to me. Once he runs my plate and figures out who I am he stop and turn back around and doesn't even pull me over. Funny side note... it says to treat all no functioning stop lights as a 4 way stop. Well, if it won't change for me and I am a VEHICLE then it is non functioning. So I have no clue what dip shit would have written me for.
Anyhow... I can't bitch to loud. Out being pulled over prolly 50+ times since I 1st got my lic I have only had:
1 Speed expo ticket 12 points (beat in court)
1 Drag Racing ticket 12 points (wrong court
date, Dismissed)
1 78mph in a 40 mph Photo radar (reduced and no
fine)
1 85 in a 55 (defered for 1 yr)
1 driving with an expired temp plate (dismissed
in court due to double jeparody)
That and well last month our little group of bikes got hunted down with a police helicopter for doing 165mph in a 65 zone. They weren't happy but since it was in the middle of no where and they were having a good day they only wrote the 1st 3 guys for 91 in a 65mph. Those were really cool cops. (got pix if anyone wants to see em)

As for me...I've been pulled over for running a stop sign (when I was 16)...no ticket.
I was never pulled over again until August of last year when I got a ticket for doing 35 in a 20. That cop was alright, but he still gave me a ticket.
Then in November of last year I rolled my truck....

About a month after that I got pulled over again in the same neighborhood (by the same cop) as in the earlier August ticket incident. No ticket this time.
Then in February of this year I got pulled over in the great fucking state of Illinois for doing 80 in a 65.

Since then I've been clean!

Me...? I am a no buddy. But I have worked at the same hospital for about 10 yrs and use to work in the ER so I know most of the cops as when they were bringing in patients, DUI's, or doing accident investigations they use to bullshit with us a lot and eat diner etc... Plus now working in with computers now... one of the people I work with is hubby is on city councle and the others is head of the State Patrol here and the another ladies hubby is a Sargent. I also have a neighbor who is the PR person for the State Patrol and 3 of my friends are cops. SOoooooooooo in 10 yrs you get to meet a LOT OF COPS and usually it helps when they run into you again or recongize your name.

No, because if you ask me, those are beautiful pics, but there are just as pretty scenery here in arkansas (granted the backdrop of the rockies is not available) it's just a matter of knowing where to look.

I've never had a cop stop me for a driving anything. Even stoned outa my gourd in HS, would get compliments for "damn, you drive good".
Only cop-problem ever was when WALKING home. It was a few years ago on Halloween. It was also the day after whatzisname Fredrico Duran took out his SKS assault rifle to pepper the White House.
I dressed in the trenchcoat & trimmed my moustache to look like his & dyed my hair the same color & had a folding stock to put one of my own SKS rifles into. Even had a lil sign around my neck: "Wanna get famous? Call the news & take me to the White House!".
Trouble was, it was such a current event, nobody at the costume-party knew who-the-fuck I was supposed to be! I was the only person at the party who knew someone had shot bullets at the White House! Kinda a bummer of a night.
But then, walking home when the bar closed, 3am. Bout halfway home before a bullhorn goes off behind me. "Freeze Motherfucker! Drop the gun Now! Now!! NOW!!!" Oh joy, pigs in their natural environment. Before I could even unsling the shoulder-strap, there were seven cop-cars around me, and everyone had their guns drawn.
And none of THEM knew the White House had been shot-up then either!!!

And it looks like that sorta scenery would suit my bike just fine!
Sure, i ride KTM's in the dirt....
but on the road, I ride Schwinn! got a "mountain frontier" with a cro-moly frame! if i break, or crack it, in anyway, for any reason.... i get a new one... [img]biggrin.gif[/img] lifetime warranty..
It's 21 speed, so i can get FLYING on that puppy... and the gears are just right so that the torque can get the front wheel up in any gear.
I have some photos of me doing stunts on it around here somewhere... I seem to have misplaced 'em however.
Drivers all honk their horns and wave at me when they see how cool I am...

i want to leave arkansas, when my lease is up at the apartment, cristi and i have plans to move somewhere east....whether it be northeast or somewhere else along the easter shoreline....we want to go...
i might try my hand at grad school up in new england, i dont' know...the point is, i want to get out of arkansas, but just because i want to get out, doesn't mean that i dont' appreciate the beautiful scenery and landscape that our state has to offer.

Hanny.... you would love to ride in Colorado... only probelm is you better be good at jetting or reeding a bike since I dont think any new dirt bikes come with fuel inj yet. A short ride here can travers from 5000 feet to 10000 feet in less then an hr.... so unless you are just at a track I hope the bike is well tuned.
