Well this sucks

Some of you may have seen that I was posting around 4am. Well, I woke up with some pain in my stomach. Wasn't bad at first, just enough to wake me and be uncomfortable. Then the pain got really bad. This, for some reason, happens to me every few months. After about an hour and a half, Sue talked me into going to the ER.

As is usually par for the course, the pain finally stopped not long after we got there. But they have to run their little tests and all and keep you there forever it seems.

They did some bloodwork which looked fairly normal. Then they did an ultrasound. They said it looks like I may have Gall Stones. I have to schedule a more in-depth ultrasound tomorrow. If they are there, then it's bye bye to the Gall bladder.

The worst part of the whole thing, besides the pain, was having to wait in the ER over 2 hours for lab results to come back. Oh well, guess I shouldn't bitch too much since it didn't cost me anything. I'll keep everyone updated once I have the other ultrasound next week.

well if they have to take the gall bladder out at least there's not much to it anymore. the wife had hers removed a year or two ago and they did it lapriscopally. had three small incisions and that was it. when my mom had it done many, many years ago, it was major. hosp stay of almost a month and major recovery time. So at least if you have to have it, nothing to it! Hopefully you just needed to fire off a big nasty biscuit and that was all
