OK boys and girls...
Here is the skinny on this special opportunity:
I have 13 Type "A" stepper (fits GSR/LS/B16A/CRV) and 11 Type "B" stepper (fits the Type "R") pulleys available.
The reason for the special pricing is simple: These pulleys have minor cosmetic blemishes which required some mild repair and re-finishing.
On my last batch, I had ordered 72 pulleys total. They are created in a 3-step process: First, the pulleys are machined from 6061-T6 aluminum. They are then boxed up and shipped to a company that hard-annodizes them. Once annodized, they are shipped back to the machinist for the final step: finishing the center bore and adding the logo to the pulley lip. It was during this last shipping stage that the damage occurred. Although each pulley was individually wrapped in newspaper, the 72 pulleys were placed in a box much larger than their volume, and while in transit, had the opportunity to bounce around and run into each other. Minor nicks and marks were the result.
After a thorough inspection of all 72 pulleys, 19 were still perfect, 24 were mildly injured (and thus savable), and the remaining 29 were damaged beyond repair. They had to be destroyed.
Once you install these pulleys, and wrap belts around them... they will look, and most importantly, FUNCTION just as good as the PERFECT ones that I have been selling for years.
Basically, this is an opportunity for all those who were sitting on the fence weighing the cost of the stepper pulley to finally make up their minds !!!

Bump for a good product. I love mine. I recommend ordering an extra belt. It is a simple matter to replace one, but you won't have to wait around for it to be shipped.

Unfortunately, each pulley will have slightly different repairs... the impacts were randomly placed. It would be way too time consuming to photograph ALL twenty-four pulleys and then E-mail all of these pics to potential buyers and let them select one... not to mention difficult to see considering the fact that all of the pulleys have been repaired already. This means that the damaged areas have already been colored black like the surrounding annodizing thus making it almost invisible in a photograph. SERIOUSLY FOLKS, THIS DAMAGE IS VERY MINOR... I AM JUST REALLY PICKY !!!
For those that are aprehensive about the purchase, remember this: This damage is sooooo minor, that in most cases, if I didn't tell you about the imperfections... it would probably go un-noticed. I GUARANTEE the function of these pulleys to be identical to that of my "First-Line" product... this is the reason why 29 pulleys were destroyed. I PERSONALLY inspected each and every pulley... and I PERSONALLY made the necessary filings/repairs to each pulley so that I could be sure of the quality.
Everyone who has purchased one of my pulleys in the past knows the level of my expectations with this product... I am not willing to jeapordize this standard of quality that I have set. In fact, I am constantly trying to imporove it.
If any of you still feel uncomfortable about the purchase of one of these pulleys, order one of my "Perfect" ones at the regular price. The choice is yours.

The price is listed at the top of the thread... a special belt is included.
The boost level should be about 1/2 psi more than the CRV crank pulley.
No belt slippage problems... this increases the contact area, so you will REDUCE the potential for belt slippage with my pulley. It should last as long as the pulley on the nose of the blower.

I'm thinking of going back to the GSR crank pulley and yanking the CRV pulley. what does this stepper pulley of yours boost up the load and also what is the price on this? if the pulley is bought.... will there be a special belt for it? also .... will these have to be replaced later on like the old JR pulleys that when glazed they made the belts slip and thus were replaced by plastic pulleys?? please advice as I'm interested in getting one of these REFURBISHED [img]tongue.gif[/img] pulleys. cheers. oh. I see. so it does about the same thing that the CRV crank does but not the negative aspects of the CRV pulley. thanks for the information.
