Well I just got done watching it. And first off I'll say that you do not need to see the series to understand the movie. Aside from that it was one ass kicking good time!! All the fights, flying and bounty hunting that make up CB were all in place and VERY well executed. Edward was FUNNY AS HELL in this movie and I spent most of the time trying to figure out what drug she is on. Ed was (to me anyway) tyle on a REAL BIG sugar rush. Fay was her usual charming self, Spike kicked big time ass and looked cool doing it. and Jet....was just jet. so I'll give this movie three snaps in a Z formation. If you have the time you should see this one. [img]cool.gif[/img]

AHHHHHH! I wanna see this one! Did you watch it on DVD or did you find it somewhere in a theatre...I thought I heard it was going to play in theatres too...I wanna see this movie!

I got it on dvd jax, I wanted to see it in the theater too, but I think it had a quick run sadly.

A quick and limited run then...I think I know of only one theatre around Chicago that probably showed the movie...

yeah it sucks how bad movies play longer and at more places than a good anime movie, I blame disney....evil bastards.

I want to say I blame Disney, but they did buy up the rights to Kiki's Delivery Service, Castle in the Sky and Spirited Away...and then they released Kiki and Spirited into the theatres for decent Japanese Animation runs (not that I got a chance to see them)...Spirited Away DID win the Oscar...and the DVD releases all rock...

When Spirited Away won an Oscar, the Disney fans were practically up in arms. The Lilo and Stitch fans were pissed that a movie they'd never seen or heard of by a director who's name they couldn't even pronounce stole the award. (Not all of them, of course, but definately the majority.)
I want to see the Cowboy Bebop movie so badly. A friend of mine kept telling me that Ed wasn't in it. Liar! Poor Edward! [img]graemlins/cry_smile.gif[/img]

So without totally spoiling it wot's the basic story as its showing at the International film fest here next week and I'll probably go see it as I've been getting quite into Manga laltely.
Can I just say that Perfect Blue was one messed up film just like Mulholland Drive. The problem with it tho' is that they solved it for you in the end they shoulda just left it hanging.

Lilo and Stitch is one of Disney's best efforts ever as far as fun fare goes...maybe even in storytelling...and I LOVED IT...but it isn't a Spirited Away...

Mars, 2071. Villains blow up a tanker truck on the road relesing a deadly virus that kills hundreds. a reward is offerd for the capture of the villians. Spike and the gang are bored and short on cash, but the large reward perks them up and into action.

That was a wiffle waffle if I ever heard one. Don't get me wrong, I really like Spirited Away, but it just didn't come anywhere close to Lilo & Stitch.

Just got done watching the Bebop movie...I think it's gonna rank right up there with some of the better anime out there...4 stars!

Saw at the filmfest and it was really awesome, is the series like this sorta serious storylines but with humour sprinkled liberally thru out. I thought Ed and Ein were really cool are they in the series much. How many episodes? What about the comics are they any good?
Sorry but I totally loved this movie and now I'm wondering what other Manga stuff I should be watching as I've only really watched Nadesico and it was a bit silly and over the top for me. So what other Manga stuff should I be trying to find?
