This is what I have just been told on the RB forum
"Right then the Glam Festival thing is apparantly in the Rock City on August Bank Holiday weekend (Sunday 24th i think!) and so far the bands that have definatly said that they are doing it are - The Plastics, Robin Black, Shameless, Pretty Boy Floyd, Tuff (yey!), possibly The Toiletboys and possibly Enuff Z' Nuff, Ratt or Love/Hate and probable headliners of ..... (wait for it....) HANOI ROCKS! "
-
Can't find any info about it at the moment, on Rock City website or TB Records. Keep a look out!
-
Spice have you heard anything about this is?
or is someone pulling my leg?
-
How can you have Shameless on the same ticket with PBF and Tuff?
btw, if this is true, then it's official that you guys have too many good concerts and should give more to us. lol
-
My guess is that if this does happen, a lot of the bands will only do a handful of songs, seeing as there's quite a lot of names mentioned there. I don't think playing twice would be a problem.
-
oh my god if this is true...... i my just dir of happinness
-
der der der der der Inspector Lynsey
I have found out it is being done through TB Records that have recently signed a lot of these bands so it is looking possible and how cool will that be
-
I was informed that something of the sorts was in discussion toward the end of last year, but they were aiming on bringing over bands such as 'Crue' (if they could) n' they were looking at an all day festival in Milton Keynes, so I'm quite surprised to hear they're planning on doing something similar at Rock shitty, the venue that sucks more than your feet sticks to the floor LOL!
n' I've gotta say the same as Lycan, the likelihood of PBF and Shameless bein on the same bill is quite slim, unless of course, Stevie Rachelle does all the Shameless n' Steve carries on as normal with PBF
Who knows, it could happen, it may not ... but as all us Brits know, until that dotted line is signed n' the clubs have it advertised, it really ain't worth gettin excited about (n' then bands could drop from the listing .... the cool thing about bands touring the UK *bahhhhhhhh humbug LOL)
-
as for HR headlining \
I think they should have some1 like Robin Black doin it, at least they get some excitement flowin through the crowd ... or perhaps that's just me, didn't find anything particularly great about HR when I saw them, great at what they do, great musicians, just boring as hell for me
-
i agree with spicey about hanoi.. very disapointing last time i saw them... but maybe PBF should headline... after all they are PRETTY BOY FLOYD!!!!!!!!!!!!!
-
But Ali is PBF appeared on stage who would you shout for then lol!!
LMAO!!! @ Rock shitty nice one Spice
-
Speaking of HR, be sure to keep an eye out for a cd review of their latest to be going up on the review section of this fine site in the next few days.
-
Oh bugger...please not the 24th I've gotta work that night *screams*. But what a cool line up!!
-
who would i shout for? well.. there is only one band that i would shout for during
<marquee BEHAVIOR=ALTERNATE width="70%"><font color="red" size=7>PRETTY BOY FLOYD</font></marquee>
and that would be... actually...i dunno... but hey.. look... i made pretty boy floyd move!
-
Ok,anybody finds out when this thing is happening, the first thing they do is give me a call so I can buy a ticket straightaway, cos they sure will sell out fast.Deal?Everybody?
-
I'll let you know as soon as I've bought mine!
-
As soon as anybody know something, please let me know and I will be there!!!!!
ROBIN BLACK told me another thing, TOILET BOYS are not playing... but ufffff who knows...
HANOI ROCKS don't exist (for me) these days but anyway I don't think PRETTY BOY FLOYD should be the headliners.
ANDI AND MIKE are great to see anyway, I even cried when saw them last year together...
First I'm going to see POISON, KISS and who knows in USA, if that festival is true wow, the next week and some days later TWISTED SISTER, JUNKYARD, ROCK CITY ANGELS (somebody remembers them?), TEXAS TERRI, THE QUIREBOYS, THE WILDHEARTS, WARRIOR SOUL, ETC, here in Spain, wow that month could mean my DEATH!!!!!
Well, its better surviving as the next month I have a good surprise at my hometown...
MAGENTA happy, happy, happy
-
You can't come Magenta. You've had too many holidays already!!

I've just heard from Seb from Freewheeler that they've been approached by Notts City Council to play. It looks like it is still being set up, with a show at Rock City, and also a show at the Camden Underworld. More details as soon as I know.
-
Oops, not the council, but Rock City, and its true it should be an all-dayer. I misread the email in excitement, lol.
-
lol!! blimey what confusion lol!!!
-
Just to re-iterate, cos I was in a bit of a 'confused' state when I posted last night;
Freewheeler have been approached in regard to playing at an all-dayer at Nottingham Rock City, with the possiblity of a further date at London Camden Underworld. More details when I get them.
My guess is that TB Records are in the process of setting something up, but nothing confirmed yet.
-
Spoke to Neil from TB on Saturday. He said they are trying to sort something out. It is highly unlikely that Hanoi Rocks will be involved, although he did want them to headline.
TB Records have recently brought Enuff Z'Nuff onboard, in addition to acts such as Pretty Boy Floyd, Robin Black & the Intergalactic Rock Stars, Tigertailz (who now have a complete line-up) and Crash Kelly.
If the show does go ahead, it is likely to include some of these names, from the TB label, at the very least. Nothing appears to be confirmed yet.
-
ooo this had better go ahead.. it'd be soooo cool.
-
Look out for dates around November time.
