I walked in the door at 12:45am...

The motor rests in the car. Will is short a few connectors for the fuel lines, and the axles along with the front two lower mounts must be installed. Then she will be ready to fire !!! I will be racing tomorrow night, however, we may fire her up LATE Friday night or Saturday evening.

Well the rings are file-fit and shouldn't take long to season in. The main thing is too allow the oil to get to proper operating tempature before blasting off against someone. I will break it in, but if the conditions are right I will stick my foot in it http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

yeah,its true.i never set a map for the two step.when the two step was on,it went dead lean and melted four pistons.luckily,the only thing damaged was the pistons.when it ran 12.51,the pistons were already gone.

Zip... you are killing me !!!

OK boys, here is the latest update. The car is ready !!! Will's MSD-6BTM box is not... we tried to fire the car at about high noon today... and she turned over just fine... but she didn't come to life. A quick wire trace and a plethora of continuity and voltage checks revealed a dreadful conclusion: no voltage emitting from the MSD box. We got fuel... just NO FIRE !!!
I will be overnighting a new MSD box in... so Tuesday night will be (barring any additional problems) the maiden voyage.

Actually, I work a grill just fine... I can cook a MEAN steak on one. I got a great secret receipe... it has been passed down through many generations in my family. Who knows, if you get to know me, you might get invited over for one some day !!!

To fix this problem check the thermostat. If you can cook food your car is running entirely to hot. lol but then again you can slow roast a slab of pork under the hood. hmmmm damnit its 8:23 and im hungry.
