i'm making this thread because i've been getting
alot of requests for information about neopets
and things to do.

1) never purchase food for your pet.
you can obtain free food in 3 ways:

up rare items and various foodstuffs. i keep
my left hand on F5 and my right hand on the
mouse... you can pick up SIX items from
the money tree each day. after you have
exceeded 6 items.. you will just keep getting
a DENIED message.</font>[*]<font size="4" face="Tempus Sans ITC, Tahoma">jelly world -- there is no area on
the map that will take you to jelly world.
you MUST click the link above to go there.
you can receive a slab of free jelly by
clicking on the GIANT JELLY to the left of
the screen. one slab of jelly feeds twice.
you can receive one free slab of jelly per day.</font>[*]<font size="4" face="Tempus Sans ITC, Tahoma">the giant omelette -- grab a slice.. it feeds 3 times.
one slice per day.</font>[/list]<font size="4" face="Tempus Sans ITC, Tahoma">2) become familiar with the shop wizard.
click the SHOPS link to the left. in the
upper task bar is a blue teepee looking
thing. that is the shop wizard. submit what
you are looking for in the appropriate field
and the shop wizard will search ALL neoshops
for that item and list them in order from
cheapest to most expensive. you can refresh
the screen and find items added (which could
be cheaper than the first time you looked).
you CANNOT use the shop wizard for quests...
except for one... which i will explain later.

3) quests
i hate typing 'faerie' so i always type 'fairy'...
anyways... you get fairy quests from random
events. here's an example: go to the money
tree and refresh many times... eventually
you will receive a fairy quest.
or.... you can go to:
ILLUSEN'S GLADEin meridell
THE SNOW FAIRY on terror mountain
KITCHEN QUESTS on mystery island
JHDORAH'S CLOUD in fairyland
(you can't do jhdora's quest if you have done
illusen's quest and vice versa)
THE WITCH'S TOWER in the haunted woods
THE BRAIN TREE in the haunted woods.
in order to do a brain tree quest you must
get your quest from the brain tree then seek
THE ESOPHAGOR. feed the
esophagor twice and he will give you the
answers to the brain tree quest.
ALL the quest items range in price... and
trust me when i say... they can be expensive.
i just performed one of illusen's quests
and the item (clamade) cost me 13K.
but you DO receive rare items and free stuff
after completing the quests... so its up
to you.
4) in the month of december, visit THE ADVENT CALENDAR
on terror mountain once per day. you will
receive free stuff.
5) visit the SNOWAGER on terror mountain
to recieve rare items. you can only receive
the items when the snowager is sleeping...
8am, 4pm, midnight (CST)
6) visit COLTZAN'S SHRINE in the lost
desert once per day. you can receive free
items, strengthen your pets, etc
7) visit THE FRUIT MACHINE for a chance
at free food
OMG... i just went there as i was typing this...
i got 2500np and a free petpet!!!!
HOLY SHIT!!!
8) play games.... PLAY GAMES!!!! build up
your np and save it in the bank....
get a savings account... and each day go
to the bank and collect your interest BEFORE
anything else... you can only collect your
interest once per day... and ONLY before you
conduct any other bank business.
9) learn to play CHEAT (game).... i have
mastered this game... there are 7 levels.
each level you win... you receive NP and
a battlecard (which doesn't mean shit unless
you battle or auction it). even if you don't
win at cheat... accuse EVERYONE of cheating
(i don't always do this). with every correct
accusation you win NP. that can't be bad!
however, in the first level you will only
receive 8np for every correct accusation.
in the upper levels you can receive 30np
for each correct accusation. ... you can
also receive 300np for winning.
take a shot at it. its a very easy game.
10) as stated earlier... play games. play
all the easy ones to build up easy NP. i
play the bulk of easy games. one day i tested
it and if i play every easy game 3 times a
day (which is all you can do)... i can
build up to 7k np each day... without really
trying.

well thats it for now. oh... one more thing...
the guild is set up so that you can get
extra help in fairy quests (for those you
can't use the shop wizard). for those types
of fairy quests.... you get a full day to
complete it (unless they tell you a time
limit). if you need help with a quest...
post the item on the guild or neomail me
or PM or YM or whatever and i will help.

also... if you wanna get that game trophy for your
trophy cabinet (displayed on your profile page)...
spend this time learning YOUR best game....
and developing the skills...
the high scores are reset at the beginning of
each month (3 months on some games)... so when
the first rolls around... play fast and long...
and you will get that trophy!

You can also go to the soup kitchen for some free food. [img]graemlins/thumbs_up.gif[/img]

you can only go to the soup kitchen when your
total NP falls below 2k.... they also know how
much you have saved....
oh... and be sure you never purchase medicines
to heal your wounded pets.... go to the
HEALING SPRINGS to get them healed
for free. if its a particular pet you need healed,
be sure you have it selected as your main pet.
(this means you, jason... as i see your kougra
didn't make it so well in the battledome)

you will see a smiley especially for neofriends

If your pet goes and battles, can they die if they get beat too badly?

i don't think any neopet can die....
now i'm not sure on this... but i don't think
they can ever die. someone needs to do some
research and post it!

no they cannot die
even if u leave them for a long time they will be very hungry but u can nurse them back to health

you are already a member...
so all you have to do to access the guild is
click on:
shops > guilds (3rd icon from left in taskbar) > teleport
that should do it
