I was watching the previews of it while waiting for HULK to start...I think I'd like to see it too.
I'm really really thinking I need to go see this...Maybe Saturday...
Yes! Go see it. It was just a plan fun movie. I can't recommend it enough.
I think when Jely is done drooling enough so she can access her keyboard without shorting it out, she will also post a glowing review. About the acting.
If you don't like pirates, and you don't like Mr. Depp, and fight scenes bore you, don't see it.
I loved it. It was funny, and supsensful, and well shot, and I just plain loved it. I got to see a sneak midnight showing of it Wednesday night. I'm going to go and see it angain, probably a couple of times. I'm buying it new when it comes out on DVD (I usually wait for used copies).

Saw this movie tonight along with LXG...GO SEE THIS MOVIE INSTEAD! IT ROCKED!
which movie should we see? that was rather ambiguous.
and i LOVED pirates. it totally rawked my socks. johnny depp was hilarious, i love that guy. and orlando bloom was 20 times hotter in this than he was in LotR, and i was insanely jealous of Elizabeth. insanely, i say.
the stupid twit in our local paper thought it sucked. the other movie twit hated LXG. but then again, this is kingston, and they're not exactly intelligent around here, nor do they have decent movie taste.
Yeah, I haven't heard anything good about LXG. Anyone here seen it yet?

Orlando Bloom and Johnny Depp as pirates, I even got excited when I saw the poster let alone the preview.
Of course it will ony take about another 6 months to get here as its not even listed on any of the coming soon schedules and they go right up til September. [img]frown.gif[/img]
Pirates is the movie to see this summer...it's everything a summer movie is supposed to be...

I haven't watched LXG yet, gotta wait and squeeze that money out a little slow. but so far Pirates is really awesome, I had fun watching The Italian Job, and I really really wanna see Finding Nemo, I heard that was really cool.

Jax if you really liked Keira Knightly you have to see Bend it Like Beckham she is one of the main characters and its one of the funniest films I've ever seen, I have it on DVD. Plus you get to see alot of her fabulous abs in this movie.
She's also in the movie Hole but I haven't seen it apparently v good.

Now that Hole movie, do ya mean to say its a very good movie, or its very good that you haven't seen it?
Well one guy at work keeps on telling me I have to see it, then again he also told me I had to see Kevin and Perry Go Large which was..well..interseting I suppose. Still Hole sounds a bit more like my kind of movie I can't remember exactly I think he compared it to Cube which I liked.
i kept meaning to see cube, but never got around to it.
I really want to see that Bend it Like Beckham movie too. Heard lots of good things about that one.
cube is, for lack of a better word, fucked up. but it's good. i saw most of it when it was on tv last week, but i need to see it in its entirety. and i'd like to see hypercube, aka cube2, as it goes into 4th and 5th demensions and time loops and stuff. but it's one fucked up movie. it's kinda up there with Fight Club somewhere.

it's not a mindless movie. you're trying to figure it out along with the characters, in a sense. but it's good. Dax from Star Trek: DS9 is in it, and she's super cool.
damn. i need to see it again. especially since i missed the part in the beginning where the guy gets cubed. it's supposed to be really gory.

Just got back from seeing Pirates of the Carribean, upon everyone's recommendation here, and decided to revive this thread.
That movie really did rock, you guys were completely correct. And Johnny Depp was hilarious! I haven't seen him that wacky in a long time. Nobody mentioned how funny he was!!! And loopy. And more loopy. He stole the movie from everyone else, walking around in his own little world throughout. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Yeah, I only wished I had seen it when everyone here was talking about it so much. I can see now there were a lot of jokes that I just didn't get, like Jely/Jessy/Jack's "But why is the rum gone?" which now just makes me crack up. [img]smile.gif[/img]
