I may well be loitering in the wings somewhere, I saw Spike earlier in the year and he put on a great show, so it could be worth a looky, also the gig is 'supposed' to be in the main hall...BUT!...who knows with R/C!

I saw him a few years ago when he promoted his new solo cd and he was pretty good then I saw him a year or so ago with Quirebots at RC

Mmmm, Faster Pussycat/Bang Tango was 'supposed' to be in the main hall too, but it got relegated to the basement, where it takes half hour to get to the bar, and another half hour to get served. Then you get all the attitude in 'The Rig' afterwards from idiots on the dancefloor who say you're encroaching on their space.

Only been there twice, and met you good people there, but I prefer London. Are they playing at JB's? now that place is 10 times better than RC.

I saw them on the Monsters Of Rock with Alice Cooper last year, and they were ok in my opinion, nothing special.

Oooh Kira, don't think I told you, but the a couple of weeks ago, Robin Black and the IRS came to party at Decadence after the show at Kingston. Did Ali mention it? Robin asked me to get him a beer, cos he had no money, lol! I said ok, seeing as it was him, hahaha [img]wink.gif[/img]

My reasons,Stacey:Quireboyz r playing in fukkin Underworld in London,which is no fun 4 personal reasons.Secondly,I saw Quireboys in Nottingham few years back in RC,main stage,kewl as fukk!Plus,there's a helluva better glamrock scene in Nottingham and peeps are friendlier and The Rig afterwards is fab,plenty of good-looking guys to look at as well,there's a lack of them in London,haha

LOL, fair enuff. Each to their own. The security at the Underworld have pissed me off before, but I still prefer Decadence to The Rig.

And the majority of blokes I've encountered at The Rig are dicks, but then I'm a bloke, not an attractive female.

see ya drink too much one night as a one off experiment with alcohol before just going back to nothing stronger than diet pepsi and you get this reputation for throwing up in coach stations... i mean honestly...

i think quireboys would be better up in nottingham as the underworld is far too small for them really.. they need a big space... not cos they have a huge stage show.. but because they're the fucking Quireboys!!! plus i quite like the rig... a more eclectic selection of rock n roll than decadence (who have not played a SINGLE ONE OF MY REQUESTS and no PBF at all since i started goin' semi-regular again.)

So.. I'll be going to nottingham and bringing nikki, possibly jamie and maybe some others as well. so it'll be a <font color=#FF0000>P.A.R.T.Y!!</font> where i shall be trying not to shame myself like the first time Kira took me there!!!!

The Quireboys are playing at the Robin 2 in Bilston (near Wolverhampton) on Thursday 4th september.

Quireboys rawked!!They playd at the mainstage upstairs,and it was quite crowded,good turn out!Name of the new Quireboy escapes me,but they were tight and we got to hear all our faves! :-) Then on to Rig downstairs,mmmh,they sure play the best tunez in the country.Whole night of Hanoi,Poison,Pretty Boy Floyd etc. ;->

Found the gig to be a bog standard Quireboys gig, yeah, they're good musicians, Spike's vocals haven't changed since he first started on the scene n' everything was tight, but it was just like when I saw Hanoi Rocks.... did nothing to light my boat ... I prefered Spike when he was touring solo playin his blues tunes

As for Cock Shitty, the place sucks even more than it did ... especially the time they put Crash Kelly on stage *grumble *moan *moan *moan

Been to ALOT better gigs n' I'm glad Crash Kelly will be back in the UK come November ... n' I'm guessing it will be with Robin Black as they're due back in the UK around that time, but I could be wrong

Can sympathise with you a bit there, Spice. I guess it would've been nice to see a band playing in the main room, instead of that shitty little basement with the 'inadequate' bar, lol.

I just can't really justify paying top dollar to see the Quireboys headline. If they were supporting someone better, then maybe. Which brings me nicely to the London show. I'd like to see the support bands, but I'm not too bothered about the headliners. The X-iDolls are on the bill down here. Rikki, are you doing a cheap guest list again? nudge nudge, wink wink?
