OOC: The Flame Thread

Righto.
The vanilla OOC channel has become a bit more crowded of late, with our friendly new posters showing up, I am beginning this, a new channel, to direct some of the conversation into a new place. Just to stop all of the conversations from all flowing into each other.
Certainly, if we should remove anything from the OOC it should be the flames. If we want to see flames, participate in the act of flaming or anything of the sort, you can come here. The place dedicated for that purpose especially.
So, if you feel the overwhelming urge to post "PS@ are teh sux0rz" or anything of the sort, this is the place.

However, I think the big topic for the moment is the standard of typing we should employ in our posts. Now, I am of course right, because I am smarter than the people that are disagreeing with me. And I must be smarter than them, because I am right.
Ah, I love my circular logic.

Oh, and Mr Stent, our computing teacher, says that we should not double space after full stops. However, he does say some pretty suspect stuff.

I say we should institute a ranking system. If you're a n00b, no spaces after full stops. If you can spell, but don't have that many posts, you can have one space. For those that consider their grammar immaculate, you get two spaces.

I really have no idea what is going on. You mother-truckers see me open up my own little thread, and all simultaneously decide to open your own. Furthermore, there are talks of an emigration to another location, using obvious clues so the n00bs can follow.

And Mr Anderson, if you are going to write a decent sized post like that, put in a few paragraphs here and there. You will find that more people will read it. You did redeem yourself in some ways though, I guess.

Look guys, I remember posting on the PA forums, and waiting for mods to do anything took days, if not weeks.
Except that there there were at least 10 categories, each one housing around 30 active posts at a time.
2 mods to a board.
Here we have 2 mods and about twelve threads. One of which needs to die.

I really don't appreciate your idleness and passivity in this situation, and would appreciate it if you would do something to relieve this board of Seathia's thread.

This is my first flame so I would appriciate it if you didn't interrupt. It's a solemn occasion. 'The first of many', one might say.

I can't claim that I have huge experience with forums. I've only ever frequented one in my life. While there, I stayed mainly in the OOC board, where I observed a great variety of content and attitudes. I also stayed in a sub-community board with fewer members, where everything was crazy most of the time. My entire career spanned only 400 posts.

But even in my meagre experience, I had a chance to observe some things.

For example, the way some people insisted on posting an add for their clan on the mapping forum.

"This is the mapping forum," said the mod, "you should be posting in the OOC forum."

"Wha! But nobody would read it there!" wrote the indignant poster. "All my friends read the mapping forum, and no-one reads

Curses, I got distracted reading my chat logs. I honestly will finish this off.

I would like to flame Martin for firstly reading chat logs, and secondly for reading chat logs instead of finishing his fucking post.
(I like being able to swear in a thread, its very relieving. However, as I guess I've demonstrated recently I have no problem swearing in other threads, ie DUCK!)
Lastly I would like to flame Martin for getting rid of Seth. Seth was better than Martin.

I propose that until the guilty posts are either deleted, or edited, we ignore any further actions of Sakalas in the alley.

I can accept the <flame> and </flame> things, that is a decent joke, but what you just did is nothing short of sissy. Like you would do it, if it's OK by the rest of us. And if you count, he has done that twice in this thread alone.

As a side note, we seem to have lost a few of our newer members. Castor and Pollux I haven't seen in a while, and I'm sure there were others that showed up for a thread or two and never came back. Whoops.

Dead Chicks Never Say No!

Seathia's preoccupation with dead females not declining his offers of sexual favours simultaneously amuses and disgusts me. Mostly the latter, however.

Anyhow, Seathia "not going any were", as he so eloquently put it, will hopefully mean some more articulate and comprehensible posts. His post in the "Walk in the Park" thread is a far cry above his regular posts, and I think he has shown that he can become a normal, mature and particapatory member of this system.

I apologise. I actually thought about it a little before I posted, but then decided, that seeing as you had a son (which you did by that stage), you probably had a wife. Or partner, or mother-of-your-son.

As for the spelling, sometimes I have to type quickly. And the more of a hurry I am in, the more mistakes I make. (But, you know. It is impressive that whenever I scan over my post once it is posted and see a mistake I wince. Not something I used to do.)

In other matters, I should point out the spelling of the twins' names should be (according to Google Fight and my own knowledge on the matter) "Castor and Pollux" I can accept Castor and Pollox, because the guy put that there a while ago, and it is his name. However, "Pollix" is just silly.
