Just wondering how performance is on your end? Things seem to be fine from where I do my testing but always like user input http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gifHostboard seems to have had a huge surge in usage!

Going good now. Last week there seemed to be a bunch of 1-2hr outages getting to the hostboard server. I traced them and they definitely weren't local.. they went almost all the way to the server.

Ive said it once, and ill say it again.......If it wasnt for this ONE BOARD, i wouldve lost interest in this hobby a long time ago.. Although i dont understand 90% of the technicall terms, and procedures, and dont do 90% of the work on my car, its nice to understand the "LITTLE THINGS" that a shop wont sometimes take, you know, that PERSONAL help....(i.e. Loose wire, fuel settings, user problems, user fixes....)
I thank you all for tolerating my mis-education, and i look forward to continueing the process of learning.
Even when this board is DOWN, i find if i can sign on ONCE a week, it was worth it. I learn/see something NEW everday here. Not just the noraml. "LOOK AT MY CAR" posts. Or the "I KILLED A T/T VENOM VIPER IN MY COROLLA TODAY!" posts..... http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/rolleyes.gif
Anytime i meet someone with BOOST questions.....be it JRSC, or TURBO, i dont really say anything, i just COPY/PASTE the link to this board and say "HIT SEARCH" http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif
Thumbs up here,
Tony

No problems here. RR cable at home and T1 at work. Though a few tweaks here and there may help the board.
Perhaps a feature that shows how many times the thread has been viewed not just the number of reponses to that thread.
Another idea is to have a quota of hits on the banners. This may help encourage hits. Sometimes people just go right to the boards and forget to click.
Just a suggestion.

The last 2 weeks we have had some power outages and the UPS was only good for about 2 hours. I have since purchased a larger UPS to cover 3-4 hours. Also had another hard drive fail so the outage might have also been attributed to me taking the system down one after noon around lunch to rebuild the array.
Anyways will look to see if there are any tweaks left I can do.
Thanx for the input!
