Ricky Carmichael is a cocky bastard. He has been ever since he was a little kid.
He seems to have taken some PR classes, however, because his interviews are a lot different and nicer these days and he smiles almost too much to be believable.

Well for as long as I have been watching or interested in racing there has always been a pretty girl handing out the trophy no matter the sport. I think it is the cake and eat it too theory or may the fact that no one watching gives a rats ass about the trophy (no offense TG) except the guy who won it. What they want it to be JUST like that guy and for no reason at all except the fact they won some pretty lady wants to stand by him and be around him. Hell at AMA races here the trophy girls and the racers girl friends were almost as much of a site and talked about as the racers.
The funny thing is in my sport the riders are old as well as young and most of the old guys are married so when they get up to get the thropy and the big kiss most of the look half assed stupid and just shake their hand knowing the ol lady is in the audiance watching. If they are smart they drag them up on stage so then they just get the trophy and then kiss the wife quick.

And they pick the cutiest ones USUALLY and let them stand up their as sort of their PRIZE since they like to get noticed and most of these events are on tv or in front of big crowds. Sort of to get their (being the girls) willies off by saying NE NER NE NER IM up here and you are way down there and I get to stand next to the racer and you're not. I'm pretty impressed with Windham also.Did you guys read his short interview with Racerx?I liked his tone of starting a new winning streak for himself.The guy also seems much more mature,he almost seems euro like.
But....be it Windham or Reed in SX,these guys need to show up for the whole SERIES to be called champion.Once again a streak of seconds will get the job done for charmichael.
