HA!!! It's 9 full songs! I love it when bands do this!!! Checking them out now. Post more later. Like you all care.
Damn. So far I am 3 songs into it and all I can think of is Alice In Chains and Soundgarden. Ooops, "Only Get So Far" so far sounds like it will be a Glitzinet fave. Ballad ala 1989. Eesh, doesn't really fit, but I am thinking Jani Lane with this one BIGTIME!!!
Fuck it, I am just going track by track in this thread now. Nobody seems to be reading this anyway, so I am now taking it over for a few seconds here.
After "Only Get So Far", the Warrant song, we have:
"NBK" - Lord, it starts out and I think of Hanson right away. LOL!!! But now I am thinking of Kik Tracee. "NBK" stands for Natural Born Killer, by the way. Verse's are pretty catchy, but the chorus kind of sucks. Kik Tracee verse, "rappish" chorus.
"Brace Yourself" - Mid-tempo thingy. This stuff REALLY keeps my mind in Kik Tracee the more I hear of it. It really doesn't sound like it should be coming out now, it is really an early 90's sounding batch of songs.
"2 X Dead" - I guess Alice In Chains was a HUGE influence on this world! This beginning may as well be on "Facelift". Then it turns to "evil" sounding vocals, then the chorus comes in and London does his Phil Anselmo voice. All mid-tempo here.
"Life..." - Gloomy, slow start. Then it turns into American Heartbreak. Back to the gloomy, then I would guess back to the American Heartbreak for the chorus. Not a bad song by any means, and may just be the best on here. Wish more had this type of chorus.
"I Don't Care" - This is what I thought the whole BOD thing was about, faster, punk style Glam. This is down the Backyard Babies/Motochrist style of rocking. I thought this is what I was going to get 9 songs of, not that Kik Tracee/AIC/Soundgarden stuff. This I like! I would buy this and that "Life..." song, if there was a full album of that stuff.
As it stands, I love when bands give us this many songs to download, as I know I can buy something else when this comes out! That is unless they change direction and do the style of those last two songs. But out of this stuff, I see you Glitzine folk liking three songs, and that is about it. The rest is listenable at best.
carl, i thought i read an interview with nikki where he said they were gonig to put up the demos because the finished versions changed so much that they sounded like different songs.
Then again, this is Nikki - hollierthenthou - Sixx so i never believe a word he says.
They're putting all those songs out because none of them are going to be on the album. Sixx said that the band is way heavier now and the MP3's do not reflect the band as they sound now. Also, all those songs have John Corabi on them and he's not in the band anymore. He thought it'd be a good idea to quit and go do a solo album.
I bet he's clearing a space on his wall for the paltnium album he thinks he's gonna get with that one.

Sorry, but he stands a better chance of getting a platinum album on his own that if he were to release those songs with that band. BUT, if the band is changing direction now, then that is a smart idea. Those songs blow.
Sorry, but I found BOD to be nothing special.
Same goes for Velvet Revolver....Nothing special...There are other bands out there that are 100% better
alot of bands that are coming out now are pretty lame. i can't think of the last 'new' band i heard that i can say i really liked. any suggestions raggz?
Good Lord Bill, you know he is going to recommend some stinking Pop Punk band! LOL!!!
oh hell, i forgot! hahaha
Well, I would hope that the songs have changed drastically. I mean, it seriously sounds like 1991 again. I can't imagine this being successful if this is what the songs are meant to be. So we'll see.
