Putting aside my personal feelings here, it could be as simple as two ppl who love each other experiencing the ultimate joy of becoming parents for the first time. If that is the case the 'rumours' must hurt.

If it's as Barb suggested (which I personally think is the case), then I don't see why the great secrecy. It's not like they didn't announce when Rob and Leonie started dating (remember Darren's post on Savagefan telling us?) and it's not like they didn't announce their engagement. This is nothing more than a very natural extension of that union.

And to play the devil's advocate, so what if the rumors are true? New life is always joyous and wonderful, and his fans would be nothing less than trilled because we all know how much Darren loves children and wants them.

I don't know if this made sense or not. I just don't understand why the great secrecy about something this joyous. And perhaps it's the secrecy that is creating the rumors and that makes them hurt.

Secrecy leads to speculation, can't be avoided can it?

However, on this one I believe they're entitled to their privacy until they choose to make an announcement or not.

Then I suppose that's the choice that their making. If they know (which I'm sure they do) that secrecy leads to speculation, then it's a question whether the desire for the secrecy outweighs the hurt of the resulting speculation. I'm not being harsh, and what you say is true. This is their choice. I'm just saying that in my opinion it's sad because the rumors don't have to hurt.

AND, btw, it's a shame that it's a choice they have to make. Though I guess that's what comes when people choose to live a public life.

Though my question was never answered I think weird considering the rumors (for lack of a better word) going on now.

I was just saying because Leo and Darren are friends that there might have been the possibility that Darren could have been in the delivery room. :s And that my question wasn't answered because of that fact that was supposed to be a secret.

Oh and I want to say that I absolutely do respect their privacy, I just thought it was an odd coincidence that question was about having a baby and the current rumor.

Sorry Oni, I didn't mean to imply anyone wasn't respecting anyone's privacy. Re-reading what I wrote it certainly sounds that way. I just recall so vividly how I felt as a first time mum and I cherished private time as a family, especially in the early days and the emotional rollercoaster ride I was on.

I'm just glad I don't live a 'public' life Dyan...because it can be very harsh at times! Something that happened to Delta Goodrem last week is a prime example of that.

I'll take the load on board for you Barb and tell Ivana that apparently, and this is just rumour atm, Leonie has had a baby boy. Nothing has been announced officially but then, knowing the secrecy that surounds everything to do with the DH camp, that's not surprising is it? [img]tongue.gif[/img] lol

IF it's true, expect an announcement almost on par with the Second Coming to be issued within the next few weeks/months/years! [img]wink.gif[/img] LMAO!
