How do i turn that mouse click sound off?

i ahte that sound when i click something on the internet
how the poop do i turn it off (windows xp)

should be a little speaker icon on your bottom right tool bar. Click it and then hit mute.

Go into your control panel and find Sounds and Audio devices. Open that up. Then click on the Sounds tab. Look under the selection for Window and find the item Select, and then set the default sound for it to none.

mine just started doing this on the boards today. the only time it did it before was on my Norton virus stuff. I just was in that program and when I got done it started it every where. I like the sound. sounds like a little gun being cocked.
