Jor has gone underground. He's starting a new movement. I think it involves marshmallow chicks.
actually, i've been painting faux marbleized sandstone on roughly 500 sq feet of wall in the foyer, hall, stairway, and loft of our house, some of the walls are 2 stories so it's been all i've been doing for the last few weeks... It's tunred out really cool so far, but it's a total pain in the ass

I'll need to remember your expertise in this manner when I get around to buying a house.
Andyman, they'd prolly work as well as cheese-cloth
mega, well, it's my own bastardized version... i didn't like any of the sandstone i'd seen in faux-finishing books, liked the look of the marble, but it was too glossy for so much wall, so i borrowed steps from both, so it's like marbleized sandstone that isn't glossy, so it's like a regular satin finsh that looks more like real sandstone, but has the marble grain to it and ...
i'll just take a picture some time

Yeah - please do!
I think my wife would like to see what you have done. Then if she remembers when we find a house I think it will fall on *** "honey-do" list real quick.
No prob, was gonna take a pic anyway cuz i moved my desk out to the loft so my classic Spawn figs are all there now and the rest of my collection is in a bedroom all by itself... it gets so lonely...
Doing the faux stuff isn't that difficult, it's just time consuming and the experiementation before hand can get kind of expensive ; trying to work out the right colors and mixtures and techniques and stuff... I have have one wall in the foyer that has 8 coats of paint on it from my sand "tests"
I'm at ends trying to figure out what to do with our master bedroom! It's in serious need of painting but it's really on the boring side. I need some ideas. Anybody wanna trade spaces?
I'd never go on that show... it's fun to watch Doug fuck up someone's home, but i'd hate to be that someone
I haven't watched the show in a while. But who could turn down a perky Paige?
Oh, now... see... yeah... i mean... violently... just to knock the perkiness outta her...
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">jump from boring to wild scary. avoid paneling. install mirrors. Quote:

I say cater to your cats! Buy a canopy bed and put little spiral staircases around each spire and make a luxurious cat-loft on top!
...Paige?
PAIGE?
PAIGE!?!?!?
Oh, I couldn't possibly turn her down...
...how could I pass up the opportunity to peel off her epidermis like an orange, pour a bottle of lighter fluid over her exposed anatomy and set her on fire?
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">Well, yeah.Quote:

Your point?
Jor, isn't some Con coming up at your side of the country?

...if people didn't secretly want their threads hijacked, they wouldn't write at all.

Andyman, just posted a thread...

Although - the new ones from the UK are funny to watch. They have one of the designers running the show and it is funny to see the rules change as they go!

yeah, i'd do that just to knock the perkiness out... anyone know how tall she is?
...they oughtta wrap that "caution" tape 'round her mouth.
...as for the second pic...*projectile vomiting ensues*

...and don't you forget it! Now...you already know to avoid the flaming bile, but you will also want to watch out for the olive green stuff...its not only acidic, but seems to be semi-sentient...and quite belligerant.
Hmmmmm....that olive green stuff looks kinda perky.
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">...yeah, looks like some of it is humping yer leg...or eating you, whatever...Quote:

such a thin line...
so easy to jump back and forth without worrying about the outcome, which is irrelevant anyway.
I feel for you Jor, I've done rag rolling in the bedroom and a faux leather in the living room.
I definitely want to see pics when you're done!
So, back to the original question/thought, when you are done playing home improvement, start working on some dioramas and post some pictures Jor. Ok?
Here it is, guys...
