Today..(please take a look)

I'm thinking of all the wrongs in this world..they never do make a right ..i'm sure some have forgotten..put behind them..moved on from the tragedy of Sept 11..but some I'm sure are finding it hard to...it was a loss of innocence..a loss of a secure feeling we all have in our day to day lives...it was the forgetting to say i love you before they went off to work..or hugging your child once more before they got on that school bus..time wont heal this wound..wars wont make it better...all we can do is remember...and hope for a better tommorrow... what i like most about it.... is that it represents
so many things in one sweep.... even if i had
no clue what each of the smaller pics represented,
the avatars show so many aspects of human nature
and culture....

like a scrapbook or family photo album....

September 11

ALex T's 6th birthday today at school

A day remembered forever as a terrible tragedy...

A day ... that was hell for me..... I felt like the teacher in the book..."My teacher, the Witch"

A day were we took took 3 steps forward and 9 steps back...

A day where i scowled more than i smiled

A day were we discussed .... our country and many others......

A day were we decided...... people from all over the world share many similarities...

A day...where I got in my car...and cried...for lots of things...... ( dont even go there....with me thinking woe is me.... cuz im not crying for sympathy)

A day where I had to slap a happy face on tonite....and greet 23 sets of .... parental units..and share as many great things about their child as i could....in mere minutes...even tho... i wanted to hang them up on a hook by the back of the shirt *L

then tonite..i come home..... no one is around.....and i admit...... its quiet here.....


and then i just slip away myself...unnoticed...

but the message said..."please read"... and well

when mah blahzey speakeths...i listen..... [img]smile.gif[/img]


and ................. I cried...i know I have pms...I know i had a shitass muthertruckin day..... I know...Ive been thinking about ex love.... and crying.... and I know..its friday..and i might not make it.......... and then this.... was amazing...

although there had been talk of 9/11 previously,
for some reason blazey's post struck something
in me.

my original plan was much simpler... just some
way for me to *at the time* communicate that
i felt what blazey meant... and wanted to show
something of what i felt because i couldn't find
words. i kept adding images....

had there been room, i prolly woulda added alot
more avatars... but somewhere in the mix, i had
the occurance that it was good as it was....
so i stopped.

it wasn't until after i posted it... and came
back, that i saw the whole pic encased in the
thread... which inspired my second post... as i
saw the pic as something i didn't create...
but simply helped to point out.

dispite my views on the US, capitalism, diplomacy,
the war, our past, and of course 9/11....

i still remember my reaction the morning i
first saw the newscast.

as mentioned on my board, i returned to a site
that displayed many videos of the WTC attack...
the first video being one of the only two videos
that show the first plane.

as i watched the video.... i gasped....

....again.....

....as if it had never happened....

....and it was happening just then....

and i realized that although i cannot really
pin-point what made it happen.....

i cried again

I do that to alison...its something about the images of it all...the seeing it...its not something to take lightly..no more than the images of iraq...liberia..bali..africa(the children with aids)..i could go on and on...they say a picture is worth a thousand words..ive never agreed more..

That has been by far one of the best posts i've seen on the boards to date. I may be a Canadain and not directly affected by 9/11, but I think everyone around the world was affected in one way or another by the tragedies that occured that horrible day. I remember when I first heard the news, I was at work and a fellow co-worker brought in a portable radio and let us all listen. I can't explain the horror and terrible sadness I felt, after the initial shock wore off. I can only imagine the terrible grief that everyone was feeling that day, and still feels today.

He is around from time to time and he is doing fine... Just has a world of things to tend to and that has kept him from us... I myself miss him lots...

Shatzy , The NHL and I lost two friends on Sept. 11 01. Mark Bavis and Garret (Ace) Bailey. I can tell you now I miss them both very much. I met Ace back in 1971 when the Boston Bruins played against the Los Angeles Kings in Inglewood California. That was my first hockey game. I had a great time that night. Mark I met in 2000 at the MGM Grand here in Las Vegas. A preseason hockey game. I will always remember Ace and Mark and so will the NHL and fans. pete
