that 'holding onto' the journals while the Sony site was revamped is a clever marketing ploy?
I do
and if it works and helps fuel interest in the new album then it's all good!

I'd like to think that was the case Barb but, knowing Sony, I tend to think it was b/c they'd forgotten that they had them! LOL

LMAO!!!!
Thanks Terry, I really needed that
I suppose it could be called clever however, considering how many of us thought that we were being ignored by Darren throughout this year because we didn't know he had done those journals, I'd call it a mistake really

What journals? Where? I don't see them anywhere.
Ivana, I think you have to go to the main page of the site (www.darrenhayes.com) and the link is there (maybe). Sorry to be vague but I have to admit that I haven't actually read them myself. LOL
I did go to the main page and couldn't find the link Am I blind?
You may be
Nah, there are a few people having problems seeing the menu. Which is odd to me because the entire front page is in Flash and if you can see the picture on the top and the text written below, why you can't see the meny between the two is beyond me.
Here are the direct links to the sections Ivana:

It seems a little odd to me that given the fact that so many people have been asking Darren for a few words over the past months that they were held back for some reason or other
I have to say though, that looking at that little snippet of song lyrics and the general mood and tone of this song, that he seems to be going back to a more Savage sound Those few words reminded me a little of The Lover After Me and now I can't wait to hear the rest of it and the melody! Yeah I think its sony being the freaks they are just not being bothered putting them out their till they got around to it. I dont think Darren had any say in it whatsoever LOL
I must admit I am enjoying the tone of the journals. I know its a sad thing when I enjoy the darkness of it all. I dont know to me that seems more real. Im glad he is sick of everything and wants to do something different. Lets hope it confuses the boppers and leaves others shellshocked LOL... I think when he gets real is when he writes the best songs.

I agree Kat and I Don't Know You Anymore still brings tears to my eyes whenever I listen to it!

I think it sucks that Sony have been holding these snippets back. Probably Darren didn't have any say in it at all.
I love the idea of the 'dark' music, definitely sounds very SG doesn't it. I too love 'I Don't Know You Anymore' and it always brings tears to my eyes when I hear it. The more I read (the two journal entries) the more I am looking forward to the new album
