a close friend (who happens to be a complete IDIOT) rear-ended a man and his two kids this morning on the 118 freeway. It was just on the news, the dumb ass was drunk and driving over 100 mph. The honda he hit burst into flames and the 3 of them burned to death, while this friend (not really a friend of MINE) is fine. I don't know what else to say exept that I am HORRIFIED [img]mad.gif[/img] at him for being so careless. He is going to get at least 20 years...
I'm sorry that he's your friend, but I wouldn't want to close to him on Judgement day.

At least 20 years and he's going to have to face the family left behind and live with what he did for the rest of his life. I'm no saint but when will people realize they can't always get away with the drinking and driving business and that the consequences can be a lot worse than getting a DUI.

you know, I finally saw the story last night on the news...they have booked him with murder. I have mixed feelings, he was a great person. I'm angry, those poor people. Somewhere there is a lady that is waiting for her babies to come home...they can't even identify them yet. Poor Tim, he has to live with what he did which is a terrible burden. It was very stupid and inconsiderate, foolish, fucked up .....yeah, but we've all done stupid crap. Just goes to show you that we are not all exempt from tragedy. Is there anyone here that can honestly say that they have never driven too fast, or under the influence? If so, then I have BIG respect for you. I never drink and drive anymore, but when I was younger I sure did. So I do feel just as bad for Tim and his family as I do for the victims....you know, he owns like 4 tattoo shops in the SFV, you might know of them. Sin City, 5150 (Van Nuys), 5150 too, and another 5150 in Hollywood. He is a close homeboy of my boyfriend's which makes it worse. This is such a tragedy. He could possible get life, with his record, they might strike him out. This is very sobering....and I don't care whether or not it has nothing to do with SD because it has everything to do with LIFE and how precious it is. I'm pretty freaked out, sorry if I've gone on about it.

I would also like to add that it was messed up of me to not want to be his friend yesterday because of it....he is going to need a lot of prayers and his friends and I now feel completely hypocritical to even think that I reacted like that at first. I feel that if the situation was reversed and her friend had died in the burning car she would be singing a whole differnet tune. And she as well as most of us wouldnt feel sorry for the drunk driver. She would be angry at him.
Well here's my oppinion. Overall i think getting drunk off your ass is just stupid in the first place. Mainly because it will lead to you doing something stupid, such as this incident. Drinking is totally fine, as long as you can control it. Yeah throw down a few, let it settle, i'm down with that. Once you cross the line, which A LOT of people do, then you obviously can't control yourself while your drunk and when your not. You must be a jackass to step in a car afterwards and start driving. You should get your ass kicked for doing something that stupid. In this case Syckgirls friend isn't just gonna get his ass kicked, he's gonna get it in the ass.
if he weren't who he is, he just might. But he is held in high esteem in the state system, spent alot of his life there in the first place. He never stays out for long...but never has it ever been anything like that. And I wasn't making excuses for him, I'd want to do damage to him if it were my kids and husband. But the situation isn't reversed, and anything said about what I'd do if it were is speculation. He'll pay for it with time, but make no mistake....no matter how much you wish that he'd get it in the ass or get his ass kicked, it just WON'T HAPPEN. That's just the way it is...doesn't matter whether any of us likes it or not.
Sorry but, i highly doubt this guy is respected by every jail mate in every jail. Plus i don't care how big you are, when you got guys who do nothing but work out all day, and 4 of em are grabbin you ankles and wrists, you're gonna get nailed in the ass.
he's not big...you've obviously never been in prison. Drunk drivers don't get dealt with in there, it's child molesters and rapists. I didn't make those rules, they are what they are. And yes, he is WELL known EVERYWHERE in the California state system. What difference does it make, he will carry this on his conscience for the rest of his life....he's the one who has to live with it, not you or me or anyone else. HE did this. That's heavy, and it will be torture.

How about this for another sad story? When I lived in Georgia, a friend of mine, who was the greatest guy, was driving intoxicated with his cousin and their two girlfriends in the car, and he crashed, killing his cousin and seriously injuring the two girls. He's still in jail now and is looking at another 5 or 6 years at least. Double whammy, killing family and going to jail for it. Point of story? Take a cab.

Believe me friend you know more about the American Govt then Americans do, because we only know what the news tells us and all the news has a special filter on it called propaganda... I spoke with some Canadians while in Italy and they were so informed on why Sept 11th happen which did NOT get released in America, Funny....
