"I'm doing Back In The Cellar for MVD. It's my history in music. I'm pretty much re-recording the whole Ratt catalogue. There's a new Mickey Ratt coming out called Rattus Erectus. It's a 1976 to 1982 'Best Of' with a lot of the original recordings with Jake.
The CD is set to include Ratt Madness, Crying Time, Top Secret, Take It Anyway, Tell The World, Dr. Rock, Driving On E., Terror On The Midway, Misdemeanor, Out Of The Cellar, On The Right Side, Railbreak, Magnetic Telescopes, Valley Of The Euphrates, Bad Dogs (Live), City To City (live at The Troubadour '81), Lightning Wheels, Sin In You, Never Use Love, Feel The Fit, and Doin' Alright.
Had enough? Wait there's more. "I'm re-releasing Vicious Delight, continues Stephen, "but this version was remixed by Beau Hill and it sounds amazing! My vocals are much more up front. There will be Arcade A/4 with six unreleased songs. There will be another Before & Laughter - Part II, but these releases won't all come out at the same time. There's no need to flood the market. Each release will have twenty songs or more and will include a live DVD, interview, web links or something. More is the way it should be", adds Pearcy.
Hold on! Stephen ain't done yet? "I've started writing for a new Stephen solo record. (Former Quiet Riot basher, Frankie Banali has been invited to lay down some drum tracks.) I've got three songs down Kill Kitty, God Smacked and Drive With Me. The music is really really aggressive. I'll always record new music and release records. He's also sang on the debut release of an "ass-kicking" new band called Pitbull Daycare.
In other news, Stephen is putting together a mega-tour next summer called the Bastards Of Metal with (former) lead singers from various multi-platinum bands. He's also got his new NHRA Top Fuel Dragster race car (which if all works out will be BW&BK sponsored).
As for his old band, Stephen states, "No Robbin equals no reunion equals no Ratt. I don't see Juan wanting to get back in that hell hole either. Warren and Bobby are talented people. They should stick their dicks out, get a new band, get a new name and move on. Their lawyers forgot to tell them that they've only got the name for live performances. I don't give a fuck if I can't say Ratt featuring Stephen Pearcy, but they are raping the name I created. Ratt was a great band let's leave it at that!
