i would be glad to get all the stuff they offer for a small fee! The masterclasses, footage (which looks to include video footage of the smoking hamburg drumfest 2002 drum solo!) and all those collectibles for us Virg fans.
i think chris said the premium membership is available through paypal, but the prices wont be released until closer to the relaunch
The "premium" applies to
on-line lessons from Virg
and unusual footage, like
Jimi says.
There still will be a lot
of the same sharing that
goes on here, from drum-
mer to drummer etc. The
messageboard is not going
to change, I don't think.
I look at it as buying a
DVD or video etc. and just
another way of supporting
Virgil and he can do each
of the lessons very spec-
ifically, on certain issues
like kicking, for instance,
which is always a hot
topic on Virg's site.

If he updates often with a lot of content, it might be OK. I've yet to see any artist do this though. Obviously he has a lot to offer; the question is will he be motivated to keep updated content on his website. Only time will tell.
Yeah...besides all else he's accomplished & does, if he maintains THAT AW, we'll just have to paste a big, red & ylw "S" on the front off his [black] stage shirts...
Next'll be "Virgie's version" of Billy Blanks' Tae Bo [not to be confused w the "biting" humor of yung "masta' Tee-bo"]....

With the way things are working today I wouldn't doubt that 15 minutes after Virgil post the private lessons they're all over Kazaa and Emule [img]rolleyes.gif[/img]
But yeah like the others said, if he updates constantly and the videos are quality material and picture wise(don't u guys just love the Hudson stuff, the lighting on Portnoy's LDT is HQ, can't say the same for his playing unfortuantely btu still [img]eek.gif[/img] ).
PS-Hudson lists Lang's DVD as being released in January, but according to Interstate Music you can already order it?($44.95)

I would hope people wouldnt put it on kazaa but i've no doubt the webmaster, Chris, has anticipated this and might use sth like licenses with WM9, in fact, i'll ask him about this!
I saw your post on the board Jimi and I think Chris has replied back to you.
Virgil is obviously my favorite drummer and I would pay anything to see/hear what he's done. I think it's kind of a cop out to say that it's a "turn off". A great drummer like this with a cool website should have something like that. It's a good thing that Virg has a webmaster that can handle it. Most webmasters just make websites for artists to 'meet' them and act as if they are part of their family.
I have so much faith in this new relaunch, Im sure that the updates will be frequent and will be a great place to learn more about Drums.
Chris doesn't plan to make licenses for the files or anything like that YET!
Obviously he has faith in us, and the premium members will be people who definitely dont have a problem parting with a small amount of cash for some Virgil magic!
I for one dont intend on "sharing" this on kazaa and as chris it will damage the site! [img]mad.gif[/img]
The sharing should be done ON virgildonati.com 2.0!!!
Technology is what it is.
