L.A. Glam scene

What's happening in L.A.? Can anyone tell me if there are any Glam bands in L.A. besides The Peppermint Creeps? New and old!

There's tons, though I think Peppermint Creeps are in a league of their own as far as a straight up glam style, Revlon Red are pretty hardcore in there too. There's a lot of bands with the glam influence, Scared Of Girls, Queer For Girls, Jet 68 has members of Blackboard Jungle...most of the bands in that scene are influence by glam, like those listed above. don't know if any of you all know who bullets n octane ( www.bulletsnoctane.com ) are but they're a great band live and their cd kicks ass too and they're playing with civet in pasadena on december 14th I think -

Billy Blade from Revl'on Red here. for all who care about the Hollywood glam scene it pretty much sucks. The only bands who play are us (revlon) the Peppermint Creeps, Pretty Boy Floyd (sometimes)and Faster Pussycat, thats about it. no more Foxy Roxx or Spiders and Snakes. A cool band named Moore come to Hollywood every once in awhile from Denver. Rebel Rebel and Willow Wisp play shows with us to but they each have different styles, not really glam

Hey Glamfly, well nothing to report on new stuff. we do have shirts and the 2 old demos on 1 cd but as far as the new cd... we have recorded the songs, it just seems like since Billy Mayhem left last year we kind of got off track,working in Seann and working jobs and stuff, I know Mark is really trying to get this out. If you remember a band called Candy Cane Lane, well the guitar player produces really good dvd's so i'm looking in to maybe working with him on something related to RR.If you really like the Hollywood glam scene I used to video tape the glitter & glam fest's maybe i could send you some tapes (free of course) qualities is ok not great though let me know

Billy: do you have the Glitter and glam fest where Todd from the Mistakes had a long blonde wig on? lol. I have a few of the others, but I really want that one...

<font size="3" face="Arial">LOL you could have fooled me...not much real glam that I see lately, a couple bands and thats it...though a lot of "new" bands have a little glam in them...or are made up of a bunch of old members of more glam bands from back in the day [img]wink.gif[/img]

Well, Mary Kate and Ashley had those KILLER shirts though! I could swear that they were heading into the Glam scene and spreading the good word to kids all over!

On a side note, those shirts were really fucked up. I was at a fair at my daughters school just a month or so ago. And down the comes this little girl (1st grade) wearing a Heart Throb Mob T-Shirt!!! I busted out laughing! My wife was thrown for a loop until I pointed to it and told her the story.

But man, HTM in a Harvard IL. elementary school! How friggin' weird!
