I have to ask - does anyone experiance this? I had to give up smoking weed because I would get terrible panic attacks. I would think that I am having a heart attack and was going to die. I ran to the emergancy room on many occasions because of this. I miss smoking and am trying to find a way to stop the panic! [img]confused.gif[/img]

It's NOT hypocritical from a legal sense at all. One of those three is illegal no matter what age you are. From a personal stand point, believe it or not, the legal ramifications were more or less what kept me from ever fucking with the stuff. Health issues? Hell man, everything will kill you, and if you smoke pot like a couple of my friends, pot is WAY more harmful than cigarettes. When you use a one hitter more than a cig, you are in trouble.

Smoking pot isnt good for you by any means but some people cook and eat it (gets you way higher that way also). Anyway I know that in SOME places its illegle, but it shouldnt be. If an ADULT want to smoke it RESPONSIBLY, (notice - ADULT and RESPONSIBLY) more power to them! I mean COME ON! Should a person really have to sit in jail for smoking a little grass? I'm not getting into the whole "legalize Pot" debate, as I do fully believe it should be legalized with control such as alcohol. But the fact remains that it IS illegal, and needs to be treated as such. I have kids, and out of respect for my kids, I will never allow it in my house under my knowledge. I am sure one day it will be there without my knowldge, and if it is found, it will be removed. But I will talk to my kids as a rational person and explain why I don't want it in the house, and that will be because it is illegal, NOT because it is evil and they will find themselves doing evil things. I laugh my ass off everytime I see those anti-pot commecials on TV. The girl "giving it up" at the party, the kids blowing their heads off! All make me bust up, because God only knows that NEVER happens to drunk people.
I agree with you on almost every aspect, just that I also respect the law (and before anybody says anything, yes, I do try and follow the speed limit, only speeding in the range that I have been told by cops is "O.K."...yes, I am boring!!!). But I do think teh fact that alcohol is legal and pot is not is seriously fucked. I have never heard of a violent pothead, but I know of way too many violent drunks.

Giving up any addiction is gonna have some side effects dude.
Be it heroin, cannabis or caffeine.
As corny as it sounds it always comes down to the "one step at a time" thing.
This comes from working in rehab centres, seeing friends with addictions and even dealing with the few I've had.
The only illegal substances I ever dabbled in were Weed n Speed. Hardly hardcore, but enough to require being slapped into a concious state in my own vomit on a fair few occaisions, to realise it was no fun.
I still drink, but that never became an addiction and smoking cigarettes is something I wish I never started. They are a supreme bitch to quit!
As far as cannabis goes, it's damage is a little more long term. You'll never OD on it there's still the cancer risk.
I quit smoking pot years ago and at first after I quit I thought I had gained psychic powers...turns out I just started remembering shit.

I remember designing an android once after a rather large joint, only problem was I never wrote the plans down, so one great idea went to waste, then again i'm glad i didn't write them down, or i would have realized the next day how fucked up I really was.
I quit a looong time ago too. I don't know about panic attacks but anything that makes a person eat frosted flakes sandwiches cant be good for you. right?????

Damn Donna until I had read your post I had completely blanked all of of my cooking on pot endeavors.One of my faves used to be frying Cheerios in butter and chili powder and whatever other spices were within reach...quite a spicy,crunchy snack actually.lol

I used to get paranoid on pot... so i stopped smoking it. Plus i started to find it boring. sit around with the same friends night after night laughing at the same stupid jokes (and the word "orange") and having the same lame-brain ideas just get's annoying.. then when some of my friends can't actually think properly anymore and are so slow even when not stoned... it makes ya wonder if it's all worth it.
But i may have to reconsider drugs now that i have a suspected allergy to alcohol (yes... to those who know me... that's why i throw up so much and not just because i'm a pussy!!) [img]wink.gif[/img]

Muaaaaah-haaaahaaahaaa!!!!Allergy??Think Ali's tendency to drink 20 pints a night will easily explain his throwing up,heehee.Try 2-3 pints,see what happens.If you throw up after that as well,then you do seriously might have an allergy and swap to drugs,heeheehee ;-> . Some people are allergic to yeast in alcohol,but I doubt thats the case,if you are ok eating bread etc.
