NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO~!
The overated Gayness is getting the undeserved attention once again !!!!!!!!!!!! less said about them the better.
As I've said before, the only way a band that plays, for lack of a better term, "hairmetal" is going to get any real publicity is if they are perceived as taking the piss.
Whether Darkness likes it or not, they are going to be lumped in with the same crowd that wears old band ts as a joke.
With the main populace, they are getting some help from the fact that people hate crack-head hiphop and are grasping at anything that even remotely reminds them of the era of real music as opposed to now with crackheads mumbling and scowling to a loop.
I think they are cool fun lyrics and cool riffs what else could you want?

I was in line at a Best Buy the other day (buying the new double feature disc of DR. JEKYLL AND MR. HYDE, in case you were wondering), and in front of me was a kid (about 16 or so, am I old enough to call him a "kid" now? I think so.) buying The Darkness, and all I could think was "Good Lord, it is spreading!!!)
carl, how much did you have to pay that kid to pick up the darkness cd for you? i know you wouldn't want to be seen buying it yourself.
I already got it from one of those new fangled stores we shop at, so I don't need to buy it.
i love those stores!

Love to, but just ask Dan, I would guess he might have some.
Hey Carl you should let me know that your wife wanted the Eminem show I could of copied it for her and yes I bought it, all three of his albums actually. So if she needs the other two let me know.
Ashliegh <- Who could give a fuck what people see him buying..."Hey !You are trying to rip me off...Could you please call someone over the intercom to do a price check on these tampons?"
Isn't your wife into all the Hip Hop stuff anyhow? So even if you didn't want it, I am sure she would be buying it all, right? My wife actually likes the real things and not the burns. She has a few burns, but never listens to them. I also prefer the real things, but I was just testing the waters with The Darkness, and ran wild with it and before I knew it, there was the whole album in a folder. Oops. Yeah she's into Hip Hop but hates Eminem,I'm not into much Hip Hop at all but dig Eminem.Figures.Add it to the list of shit we disagree on.
Nope...No Bolton in my catalog. I think I've actually only heard one song that he sings. He covered "when a man loves a woman" right? And I think I only heard that once. The original is 20 times better, and I really don't like the original much. LOL!
Screw you Carl.....where's that GTR you were gonna send me? LOL!
<font size="3" face="Arial">I want Justin Hawkins to not go "WOOOOOOoooooooOOOooooo" over everything. I wouldn't object to them so much if it wasn't for his bloody silly falsetto.Quote:

He also sings 'Sittin on the Dock of the Bay'. Pretty good cover, imo. I like two of his originals. Why Can't We Be Lovers (if We Can't Be Friends) and When I'm Back on My Feet Again. Total fluff, but still not horrible (better than about 95 percent of the stuff out there now, at least.....that's very scary). He used to sing for Blackjack. Weren't they pretty good, in an AOR type way in the 80's?
Like I care what people think of me when buying something, right? I bought my wife her copy of Eminem's "The Eminem Show", and that involved me standing in the "Rap" section trying to find it! If I am willing to be seen buying Rap, I am willing to be seen buying anything!
Carl, would you please go get me some Michael Bolton. Thanx.
