I'll try to do at least a partial set list tomorrow which, because I can't remember shit, I'm sure I'll end up editing. Though, I haven't kept up with recent set lists, it was basically the usual one. The one song I hadn't heard was what, I'm assuming, was called "It's All Right". Very bluesy with some lyrics taken from "Ready For Love". Ness said, in effect, they were messing around.
The Hammond? It's certainly not intrusive (no Ray Manzerak excesses) and was used selectively. I'm still leaning towards a rawer sound but hey, you can't live in the past. I'll reserve judgment.
News? He said the new release was 3/4 done.
March 4th? That's not a tuesday!
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">Maybe Mike doesn't know about the Tuesday thing.Quote:

I'll buy any day he wants to release it!
I think she means 75% done........I hope.
or 3/2004.
Thats pretty darn soon! Yeah!
Show was sooo good, but too short- too many schweaty tall men to contend with, but I still got up front in the end. I almost forgot how much I love Mike Ness- Lots of people in the front didn't know the names of the songs let alone the words, that was dissapointing "Hey Mike- play Atom Bomb!!!!!" It was worth it, I can't wait to see them again! Maybe next time they will play longer.
Set list?
I knew there was someone else in Florida that posts here besides Ghosty. You havent been on here in a while Shelley. It's nice to hear from you. I'm glad you got to see SD!
I hope theres a release tour that actually comes somewhat close to Houston.
Mike said the new album would be released in June- that's the lowdown from the Ness's mouth. Set list? Letmee see here... in no particular order MLM, Under My Thumb, Don't Drag Me Down, new untitled blues song, Footprints, Sick Boy, I'm pretty sure telling them, Encore: Ring Of Fire, Story Of MY life - Donna might be able to help me out...
My bad, I saw the word release and what looked like a date and my fingers got ahead of my brain.

HA HA! That's awesome- they dont waste anytime- do they? How much are they askin for it? I bet the quality is shitay.
It would be awesome if it was recorded by someone up front and you get to hear all the jerk offs who don't know the words making stuff up at the top of their lungs. gotta give props to the guy who helped me up when someone stood on my ankle, that was cool.
The fact that it comes from a Minidisc recorded means quality is not great, but can still be good. The text info probably indicates the taper is used to taping other bands and probably just wants to trade or B+P.
speaking of bootlegs, if anyone has any they would like to share, there is a website called www.sharingthegroove.org that uses something called bit torrent to act almost as a napster for live concerts that have been converted from wav into either .flac or .shn which are both losseless compression formats, as opposed to the lossy mp3....the basic jist is if you have this bit torrent client on your computer you can download whatever people have chosen to share through the sight, the only catch is if there is no one online seeding the show you cannot download it...I believe the site started to allow fans of jam bands to trade phish and dead bootlegs, but i've downloaded some interesting shows from there, ramones, dead kennedys, flogging molly, the clash, the descendents, sex pistols, danzig, misfits, sam hain, black flag, not all of the shows are the freatest souning, especially the older stuff that was recorded using analog equipment, so if anyone has any bootlegs they may want to share quicly and painlessly let me know, i can try to walk you through the process
bittorrent is an excellent downloading utility, I would recommend it for anyone who downloads music/movies. Check it out.

I get all my Pumpkins, Ratm, and (gasp)DMB shows from there. They also have Oasis, Counting Crows, and others. I have never ever seen SxDx on there. I can't really host anything, but if someone can host, I might be able to liberate a few.
<font size="2" face="verdana, arial">It's going for trades or blanks & postage. I'll let you know what the quality is when my copy comes in.Quote:

maybe i am jsut slow, but is there some way to contact the guy with the bootleg from HOB show last week? i didnt see anything off the yahoo photo page. i tried an email to that user , but it bounced. i was at the show and would really like a copy of it!
FYI -
The bootleg of this show has a really good sound quality.
That is all.
You could always host it on sxdx.com
Perish the thought...but I'm always open for trades.
that would mean that everyone would have something to trade that you don't have. Send it to that sickboy guy to put on sharing the groove.
Does Angels Wings have the organ? I forget. The only version I have is without it and without the solo. I would like to hear one wiht the solo
OK, I've listened to it a few times now. This recording is absolutely one of the best SxDx bootlegs I've heard. Despite the fact that the recording equipment was smuggled in, there's very little "crowd noise." This is also one of the few times that everything the band plays comes through clearly - each background vocal is easily distinguishable, the drums aren't washing out the recording...it's a REALLY good job.
So I'm all for a trading tree right here on the board. I can try to sort out some stuff on my end and get organized in the next couple of weeks, or if anyone else has the initiative/experience to set up a trading tree I'll be more than happy to send them a copy of my disc.
In the meantime I'm toying with the idea of putting some sample mp3s online just so people can get the idea.
