That is all. :)
One problem, they are playing the Patriots, who are my second favorite team (Bears are the first)
I'm kinda rooting for the Eagles, but I know Nommy and Rantarn will be happy if Patriots win, so I'll throw in a nod for them too.
Superbowl 38 (ok, XXXVIII)
Carolina Panthers def. New England Patriots.
Remember, you read it here first.
(www.nfl.com picks Indianapolis based on viewer poll)
Based on the JaceSan poll.
A panther would tear apart an eagle in the wild...
...as would a horse if it trampled over a patriot.
Sorry KiSA, but it's gonna be Carolina and Indianapolis in the SuperBowl. :)
LOL, we shall see Squire, we shall see. I lived in North Carolina for a month or so, so I won't be broken hearted if they make the big game.
I was just really happy to see Peyton take care of our division rivals with such efficiency. Now if he and his team can beat Tom "tuck rule" Brady, I might feel some sort of karmic balance has been restored to the NFL. :)
Hell, I am rooting for Peyton because I hate Limbaugh so much! Maybe if Rush eats a little more crow he will lose some weight...
What'd he say? I must not've been paying attention. Didn't he lose his sports-casting job?
Basically he said that the media is soft on MacNab because he is black. That MacNab can't quarterback because he is black and the media softcoats his failings because he is black.
I think Rush has issues because MacNab is not caucasion...
ETA: He must not have had his painkillers that day!

Oh yeah. I remember that now. My friend and I were talking about McNair, Peete, and that one older player that was just on the Raider's team a couple years ago right after Rush made his comments.
Okay. Now by JaceSan's poll, a panther should be able to tear apart a patriot so...
Of course JaceSan's polls are sometimes skewed.

We'll see if the Patriots have their muskets or not. And how fast the Panthers are.
Go big cats!
Hmmm. I didn't take the muskets into consideration. Maybe I should reevaluate my poll.
Patriots 21, Panthers 17
I guess the muskets worked......
Those pesky Minute Men just refuse to lose.
That was a good Breast Bowl, er, SuperBowl!
Nice tight game all the way through. Awesome game. Shame someone had to lose.
Too true Azziz. I wasn't one of those who dissed Carolina at all cause I figured they were a very good team to have made it to the Superbowl and they demonstrated that. Both teams were very evenly matched throughout. I'm just glad our guys came out on top. My friend wants Adam Vinatieri to be our next governor.
*goes back to sulking and wondering if the old bastards on his team have what it takes next year* :)
So close a month ago...so darn close. Best evenly matched superbowl in a long time. Honestly could have gone the other way, too.
Chrystal ball didn't take Janet into account...
<soapbox>
BTW, how 'bout the technology we have today? HDTV with digital processing and the internet. Less than a ? hour after the end of the halftime entertainment, Janet and Justin were available in hi-resolution stills (high enough resolution that the "star" was easily clear on a 2"?2" blow-up) were available for downloading from multiple web sites.
Wardrobe equipment failure? That's rich...

Hey Wizz. Is that you on your bike? I didnt know yo were an orthodox jew?
???
Amish are Orthodox Jews? If Mennonites were Jewish, then I guess they are...
However, I'm a non-practicing Catholic...and I don't really have a race number for my ride.
How weird... How often do people use the word "Amish" in a sentence? I ask because the other day while grocery shopping one of the women who works in the deli told me I looked Amish.
I have no idea what she meant.
She was probably referencing the way you were dressed. (shrugs)
Since when did people start thinking the Amish were Jewish? When did we stop teaching history in the US?
I was watching Super Millionare for like 5 minutes last night. One of the questions was "In what state was the shot heard around the world fired?" The possible answers were North Carloina, Virginia, Deleware, and Massachusetts. First the contestant has to ask the audience and then 30% of the audience said Deleware or Virginia.
Sorry, pet peeve of mine....
For the record, bad spelling is not a pet peeve of mine and is a clear indication that I was way too worried about politics and history n school to give a damn about spelling.
Well, Prof, I believe the hat was what caused the question of me being an "Orthodox Jew" instead of Amish. Easily understood...
Massachusetts (Lexington, I believe) is the state where the "shot heard 'round the world" was fired. First shot of the American Revolution.
North Carolina is where the first flight was recorded by the Wright brothers.
Deleware is the first state of the union.
Virginia is where the first president of the U.S. was born.
A couple of "firsts" in American History for ya.
