This one's been out for a bit, I think. Well, I've had the cd since about late November/early December. Just did a review for it (speak of the devil). You buy it yet?
Oh has it...Well I just found out it was out...hehe. I dont' have it yet, but I've heard the songs and thought it was great...I intend to get it sometime this month when I can get my ass to BEST BUY in the City.
I think I liked these guys, but I can't remember. Is this available in Best Buy's? Or is this another online buy?
<font size="3" face="Arial">that's some pretty high expectations to meet. i hope i don't have to make a return trip down to texas to 'deposit' this cd if i don't like it.Quote:

Checking 'em out now on Amazon, and now I remember, I LOVED THESE GUYS!!! If this is readily available, it looks like I am making a stop on my way home tonight!!!
I put 'em more in the Dimestore Haloes/Dragons/Replacements style of life. Not quite as "poppy" as Beat Angels get, and not as dark as Loveless gets. Hanoi isn't too far off the mark, as they are also in a Heartbreakers mold.
I compared them (just sent the review off to Spicey, actually) to either a heavy Tsar or a lighter Hellacopters. There's flashes of the Zeros and Ramones in there. Very catchy stuff.
Yeah, btw, you should be able to get it at pretty much any music store (including Best Buy)
LMFAO!!!..Bill it's good believe me...I'm sure you'd like it.
Carl...I saw in an independent rock paper here that ya can get the CD at BEST BUY. That's where the advertisent said to go to buy it.
Cool, two stops on the way home from work now. Good thing I have to run into town anyways.
I'll get it myself when I make my way into the city after dropping ed at the airport soon.
Shit, is he leaving again!?! Going back to the UK? If so, is it safe to figure he and Star is in lurve???
Bazooka's a good record, very Heartbreakers in vibe. Lot of Hanoi and Ramones influences going on - one of the songs is a ringer for "I Wanna Be Your Boyfriend" - but it's good sleazy energetic stuff. Nice to hear that kinda stuff these days.
Picked it up. Pretty good, though not as solid as I was hoping. I still take the Dragons and Dimestore Haloes first though. One of the songs is REALLY friggin' good, and I can't remember which one. Tell ya tomorrow when I listen again.
Their "interpretation" of the Hoodoo Gurus song "I Want You Back", here called "I'll Get Her Back" is just fucking TERRIBLE though! I have no idea why they would fuck with such a great song, but they do and they create a tune that I will skip every time I put the CD on.
So, a good CD knocked down a bit by the one song. Oh well. But I hold more hope for them than I do for Jet. These guys just seem more honest.
You turn the oven on, I light the match
That the song you can't remember?
Which of the two of us is gonna burn this house down?
No, no, no. I think it was L.A. or If We Can't Be Lovers. I think.
Want a burn in exchange for that Y & T cd? I mean, if you have to go ALL the way to the city to get it, that can be dangerous. lol
LOL!!!...True, and thanx for the offer buddy, but I intend to get the actual CD.
What else ya have?...LOL!!!
Oh by the way, I dont' have the Y&T greatest hits...the song Don't Be Afraid Of The Dark is on the actual Y&T TEN cd...so ya want that?
Sure, why not. lol
Ya want fries with that too....hehehe.
Hey what else ya got fro trade...that's new?
Drop me a call tomorrow night. We'll bang something out for trade. Talk to ya' then.
Ya got it man.
Yup, it's the song "L.A.". Very cool song. The videos that come with the disc are also pretty cool.
L.A.? Didn't hear that one. I know that the song I Don't Wanna Be Crazy Anymore sounded somewhat Ramonesque.
The one I am thinking of is the best "written" on the CD. Let you know tomorrow. In the meantime, my bed calls my name...
Just looked at the line-up. Wow!! There IS a song titled L.A. I totally missed it. I don't think it must've stood out. The cd does lag a little in the middle. Still, the best line on the disc.....FILL UP YOUR BEER CAN WITH COCA-COLA, MAKES YOU FEEL LIKE A ROCK AND ROLLER!!!
