**** GOOD Mara & Cherie ;-)
Huh, let me try that again.... D*@N GOOD Mara & Cherie! BEAUTIFUL!!
Well Cherie, you've done it again! You've totally blown me away with your talent! The new Chainsaw Chick Web Site has left me incredulous to the core! Your chainsaw art truly is unbelievable! I really love being able to check it out!
I would love to be one of those people there watching you create your masterpieces. Your critters are all so lifelike in their detail, as are those way cool mermaids! Everything is just fantastic beyond belief!!!!!!
Thanks for including all the details describing HOW you do it, too.
I like how you said you see an image before you even start or you wouldn't know where to begin! I have been wondering about that very thing.
I want to order something asap but at this point I could not begin to choose. I love the bears, the piggies, the racoons, the.....everything!!!!
I'm glad you included the RELIEF CARVINGS on your new web site too!
Those carvings hold a special place in my heart. Especially
'Midnight Flight' which is, of coarse, my most prized possession.
I have been soooooo looking forward to seeing your Chainsaw Art and could not be happier that the time has come!
It's just like you....totally amazing and beautiful!
YOU look marvelous in your "working" garb and pony tail btw!
Thanks for being soooooo absolutely wonderful!
Your ART fan,

Hello all!
Go look again, I changed things around a bit. There's nice leafy trees in the background now, instead of the mother-of-pearl.
We'll be moving more things over from The Currie Corner and Rocket City in the next few days, plus CherieCurrie.com will be all new by next weekend too.
We need a graphic illustrator to do a design for us. Anyone out there? Email me please!

Thanks everyone!
(Thanks darling Gus for all your help lately!)
Nice to "see" you Katt! Stick around!

Mara
Cherie! Beautiful work! I love it.
Great job on the website too Mara!
Cherie, do you do miniture carvings? I was thinking that the baby's room would look great with one of Cherie's giraffe's in it.
Hope all is well.
Love,
CCfan
Cherie: I lov your Chainsaw C. Web page very impressive. & Excellent art wood carvings very kool. The Bear's are beautiful & With great detail & care I must say. You are a multi-faceted talented artist. With great care and precision. I think you should add a quick overview page with the dimensions of your art wood carvings. So the customers knows all sizes. & This can best fit there needs in placement in the home.
With lov always Eric........
Oh my gosh, I'm drooling on my keyboard. What a great site!
Thanks for the link G-Man

How lucky we be
First a visit from Katt
Then Mara stops by
This is where it’s at
Cherie is surrounded by fans
All awaiting the Chainsaw chick
And a chance to view her art
By pointing the mouse and a click
Ohhh's and Ahhhh's I’ve heard
And my eyes do not deceive
At the magic from God's wood
That Cherie can conceive
Below that hair of gold
Where a wonderful vision lies
To take from a tree some magic
And deliver it before our eyes
Your voice has thrilled my ears
Celluloid movement, eye appeal
Your story caused tears to flow
And now an art form that looks so real
You are one of God's Angels
That he has truly blest
Every day is written anew
Cherie I can't wait for the rest

Chainsaw Chick
Her ART is really slick
I guess that you could say it is her bailiwick
The majesty she shares
sure gets alot of stares
'cause people are amazed with her sea turtles and her bears
Carving 'neath the sun
her work is never done
one masterpiece is finished and she starts another one
Mermaids and racoons
fill her afternoons
ain't none of CC's critters could be called picayunes
Imagine seeing a log
turn into a dog
right before your eyes and you'll see why I'm all agog
Chainsaw Chick Rules! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

I took a quick glance but I'll spend some time checking out the new web site in the morning. I love those bears I saw but I am really tired.
I hate working nights!
Todd
What a great website. That is a talent that is very impressive. My uncle tried it many years ago and I think he went back to just hand craving. I also wanted to let you know Cherie that at the company that I work for, they have safety glasses that are really neat looking. They are wrap around ones that are not so squared around the eyes. Also some working gloves as well. If you are intrested in them let me know and I will send them to you. Just that the glasses have our company logo on them. Anyway just let me know.
Take care
Dawn
Dearest Dawn,
I would LOVE them sweetie! I just burn through these things!!!
Send me a personal mail when you can.
And Eric, I agree and Mara is working on that now.
Love you all!
Cherie [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
After a good nights sleep I went straight to the Chainsaw Chick site and I have to say that I agree with everyone else. It all looks superb. Great work Cherie and thanks for sharing your art world with us. I love those fishing bears and all the rest too.
You look great on your painted motorcycle!
Todd
Yo Ella!
I guess we were both in a writing mood last night. Just think...We could have penned our very first GUSELLA poem in the chat room whilst we were in there!
Oh well, too late now but that CCollaboration could have been glorious!
I like your solo effort anyway though!
More later my friend,

Gus
Thanks for the thumbs up, Mr Danger. Great minds think alike, I guess. My poem didn't start out as a poem it was a tired mind, trying to make short coherent phrases that turned into a rhyme, that turned into verse, that turned into a poem. If you would like to collaborate some night, I would be more than happy to give it a try, Could be a load of....fun
Cherie, I have a couple of questions, If you don't mind.
1)The wood that you use, do you actually go out and pick your tree, or do you buy the logs commercially?
2)You mentioned some types of wood producing sap or gum, Is there a curing period before you attempt to sculpt them?
<marquee> </marquee>
Roger
Now we need a chainsaw graemlin!
Hi Roger,
Yes, sometimes I buy a whole tree. I inspect it before it's cut down. But mainly i have a wood company drop off wood if its good.
There is not curing period. I like to cut as soon as possible. The sappy tree's are canary pine for example. Beautiful wood, just sappy!
xoxox,
Cherie
Hello Cherie,
Okay let's try this again, my fingers were typing to fast. Anyway hello Cherie. I will send you a few pairs just to see if you like them and if you do then I will send more. Just to let you know when you get them the D on the side of them stands for the company that I work for. It is called Decoma. I will get them in the mail ASAP.
Have a great night
Dawn
More changes!
I added a Guest Book over there, so please leave our darling Cherie a little message to cheer her on
And there's 2 pages in the "MORE" section taken from the old Currie Corner site now.
Cherie and I are waiting on a few more pictures, then that whole Gallery section is going to be rearranged according to subject.
Let me know if you have any more suggestions...we're incorporating everyone's great ideas! Thank you!
No Graphic Illustrators in the house? NONE?!

Cherie.. Saftey glasses & Hearing protection are both important. You only have two eyes. And your's are beautiful ones. Also you can concentrate on precise jobs better. But make sure the glasses you buy are (OSHA ANSI Z87.1)Certified type for maximum protection.& some glasses are transctional ones.Light&dark .In the past I used both types working in the Tool&DIE Making Field at Curtiss Wrights Inc...... That was a great Idea Dawn................Lov Ya C/C [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Eric.............

Cherie,
No problem, just let me know if you like them.
I have the glasses and the gloves in a box at work I will be shipping them out here pretty soon.
I will send you some anti-fog wipes to because sometimes they fog up on you. They do it to me sometimes when I am in the middle of a issue at work that really starts to get on my nerves.
Well I will let you know when I send them out.
Dawn

Cherie,
Do you make miniture carvings? My son's nursery is going to be baby safari. I was hoping to add one of your carvings to his room. That would definately complete it.
Love,
Christina
A baby safari?!?!? That's what I'd call an ideal idea Christina!
Baby CCfan will be one happy little CCamper 4 sure!
Especially if amounst those critters is a chainsaw masterpiece by Cherie Currie!
Hey....May is getting pretty gosh dang close now huh?!?!?

My dearest Christina,
I generally don't do small carvings. That chain saw can get a mind of it's own when it come to skinny legs, if you get my drift!
I would LOVE to do something for you sweetheart, and for your darling baby to come. Let's play it by ear and I'll try some smaller stuff with you in mind!
Hugs and kisses and a pat on the belly to the lil' one!!
Cherie [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
Dear Cherie,
You are soooo thougtful! I predict Baby CCfan is going to adore you!
Sort of a heritage deal. Not to mention your STAR power!!!
Your fan,

Gus (the elder)
Cherie, you are the best!
Yes Gus, baby CCfan will be a Cherie fan for sure. I will start him out early. He is already listening to her in the womb.
Love,
Christina
Awesome CCfan! I'm glad you are giving him a head start!

<marquee> [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] </marquee>
You should be very proud Cherie! Your "Sea Turtles" ARE awesome! It must have been great, for you, to get that kind of recognition so early on!
I knew it was one of your first pieces when I mentioned it in my "Beautiful Cherie" poem back then too.
You were off to one FANtastic start in the Chainsaw Artworld!
Your critters have, and always will, amaze me, 4 sure!!!!

Gus
Don't you fret; don't get no jitters
when you see her Chainsaw Critters.
Oh yes it's true, they look real alright
but CC's Critters will not bite
and if I may add here, really quick
you've gotta love that Chainsaw Chick!

Gus
Cherie, I sent Rocky a small box of wood blocks for his own woodworking project, and he mentioned (in passing, perhaps only jokingly) sending you wood also.
On ocassion, work part-time for a contractor (last job was chainsawing a 15'-wide path thru a forest so a construction crew could move in & pave a road). There was a LOT of free wood available to anybody who wanted it. Mostly maple and birch, and commonly cut into logs between 3 - 4 feet in length, with diameters 'about' a foot & a half in diameter. Could any of this be of use to you?
Opposite side of the country though (Connecticut), so shipping costs would likely be prohibitive.
That WOOD be nice of you reved!

Gus
I love the site. I go there lots.
I'd sleep there but they got no cots!
It's time well spent. One never fritters
time away, amoungst her critters!
So drop by any time of day
ChainsawChick.Com.....OKAY?!?!
