I wouldn't take that comment too harshly EQ. Don't stop posting here.
We are a group that should be able to talk things out. Some have met in person, and many through discussions have helped one another out.
In another post, Sculpy said that they have the power to get rid of people if they don't hold the line. If they are going to contribute to the adult atmosphere that this board is maintaining over the other one, then by all means they should be invited here.
If someone gets invited that doesn't tow the line, then they cam be gotten rid of. Simple as that. Your posts along with other are what is starting to make this board a valid place on the internet. Don't stop that now over one comment.
Talk it out.

EQ, you and I have been friends for quite a while on the boards and I hate to see you so pissed off, but I do have to say you take things way to hard. You shouldnt be so sensitive that you get pissed so easy that you end up quitting over and over. You know damn well, youre going to regret jumping the gun and quitting over this. This emotional roller coaster that you put yourself on over the message boards is just wrong dude. You have big time highs where everything is going great and then WHAM someone says something and down you go.

I hate to say it, but you do say you're leaving and then you come back (not that you shouldnt be back) over and over. You shouldnt let shit get to you so much and make you jump the gun. You know you regret leaving because you come back. Its obvious since you are responding that you were looking and probably would wish you had not quit the board again.
You really have to let shit slide and not do this any more. Sure someone might say something you dont like, take a shot at you, give you shit, but we all usually get some of that. Most of us dont jump and over-react to it. You make such a big production of it when it happens that everyone remembers it, and then when you do it again it people get a little less patient with it.
you can be mad at me if you want. you can stop coming to the board if you want (I dont think that you want that though), you can tell us to fuck off, but dude you have to get controll over the emotions to have fun and survive in a place like this. You need to take a deep breath and think if the immediate hurt, rejection, slam is really worth giving up somethin you really dont want to give up on. I would guess 99% of the time its nothing that is worth getting SOOOOO overly pissed about. Really think before you jump. Thats all. And marv is kind of right. It does seem to create too much drama. It might not seem like it when youre the one with the feelings hurting, but you have to try and get control over it.

EQ, thats nice you started a board, but I dont think you should bail and give up when it gets a little rough for you. Stand up to the problem, be a man and face it, solve it, forget it and go on to the next hurdle in life. You cant run for ever thinking you'll escape confrontation. It will always find you. Making your own board to try and get away will probably just make you miss your friends here and on the other Spawn board.

I've totally been where you are EQ. I used to think everyone hated me. I used to think everyone ignored me and poked fun, blah blah. I just felt like I wasnt respected. So i would get all emotional about it and blow up. After a lot of years, I realized. If the people of spawn land dont like, so-the-fuck-what? So now I try to stay calm. I try not to react in a rage. And I try to avoid internet fights a much as possible.
Just ignore the shit man.
It makes the board more fun.
There are a lot of cool people here. But even cool people sometimes step on others toes( most of the time it's accidental.)

There are only a few people on the board that I even acknowledge anymore (and they just happen to be all here). Just pick the people you wanna relate to, read their stuff, and skip the rest.

EQ, when you read something that someone posts, don't just immediately react to it. If it pisses you off or upsets you, the first thing you should do is make a point to NOT immediately respond. Clear your head and read it again. Try to reason with yourself whether it's something to legitimately get upset about or if you are having an impulsive reaction....or, if you are taking it the wrong way. If you're still upset, then walk away for awhile. Come back later and read it again. 9 out of 10 times, people are just kidding with you, and maybe you'll be able to see that if you cool off.
If you're still just as pissed at that point, then try to respond to that individual in a rational, organized way. Express that you are upset, but don't just freak out and call them names, or say you are leaving because of it. If you can't do that, then take it off the board and talk to the individual. And if nothing else works or if that other person is unresponsive, then try to just laugh it off. Tell yourself that that person is a dick, and just avoid them in the future. Chances are you will get over it in a few days and probably end up being friends with that person later on. And if not, so what? Is ONE insult worth abandoning ALL of your friends?
I think everyone is just trying to help you out. Everyone is pretty much saying to just cool off and let's start over, no hard feelings. You can't ask for more than that. If it's just attention that you are looking for, then I don't think this is the way to go about it. You don't need to make a big drama just so people know you are here. Just be a part of things and don't take it all so seriously...swerve around the bad stuff, but stick around for the good. Like chaser says, the real world fucking sucks and this place really ought to be an escape for all of us. [img]smile.gif[/img]
