Im curious to hear what you guys think of "Music From Regions Beyond?" I for one have mixed feelings. I love the pyscho part of the album, solid songs, nicely produced and recorded. But the other half, the 80s Duran Duran Bullshit is not working for me. It may have worked for his buddy Davey Havok but not Tiger Army.
I haven't heard the enitre album yet. Has it leaked on the net somewhere??
The record is not out yet, but when I recieve it I'll let you know what I think. If it is anything like the last record, then I will most likely like it then....

Although Tiger Army has never been your typical screaming/shouting type psychobilly band... I do like their more melodic songs. I sure hope the new album isn't as horrible as the last AFI album. Davey Havock turned from a punk, into a trent reznor/glen danzig wannabe to a whiney little emo jerk off. Tiger Army did tour with Morrisey so it wouldn't suprise me if the new album as the duran duran/80's influence on it.

I will never figure Tiger Army out. I have seen them play dozens of times and all in all, really enjoy their music. There are times though I listen to them and cant do it and other times I have to hear them. In my opinion the phrase "you either love them or hate them" sums them up. I am interested in hearing new material though
i was skeptical, but i downloaded the new album yesterday and there isn't one song i dont like. on everyother album i could pick out at least one that i wasn't big on. but not this one. get ready to hear a song that sounds extremely similar to joy division- "love will tear us apart" and a song where nick 13 sings in spanish.
I've never been a big Tiger Army fan. I will wait until their greatest hits cd comes out for the casual fans. Seriously though, this discussion has really peaked my interest. I would like to hear it and nothing turns me on more musically than being diverse. Thats why I stopped buying Rev Horton Heat CDs 2 or 3 releases ago because lately it all sounds the same.

It's not horrible per se, it's just not up to the level of greatness I've come to expect from N13 and his ever-revolving cast of hired guns. ^that program is so you can extract the mp3 files from the rar file incase your computer doesn't do that automatically.

I think the new cd is pretty sick....I have only listened to it a few times, but I really really like it. Its not as "GO PSYCHO" as their older stuff, but I am willing to grow with this band....I think they are fucking great!
Oh and btw "As The Cold Rain Falls" is going to take alot of shit....because it sounds to "80's" I think its great...at least Tiger Army has the BALLS to go out and do something retro/different...thumbs up to them for keeping it alive...I LOVE IT!
