Dream drum battles?!

...just a bit o' fun. But cast your mind back to the first time you saw Vinnie, Gadd and Weckl playing that drum trio on the Buddy Rich tribute video...but who would you like to see up there trading 4's?!

I'd love to see a "battle of the new generation monsters"...Virgil, Marco and Lang...that would just be crazy.

Or purhaps a "Battle of Latin", Weckl and Hernandez bringing out the most insane clave patterns against each other.

Very true, I agree with that. But I definetely think it would be cool to see the two of them go at it with the Drum 'N' Bass stuff.

Since in this town we used to have annual super drum clinics ["expos"], where there were anywhere from 6-8 players, how about -
Vinnie, Virg, Weckl, Chambers, Novak, & Lang...or
Heredia, Marco, Mangini, Sanchez, Hernandez, J Taylor, W Kennedy, Hakim; or any combos of...

Aw heck, fuh-getaboudit - howzabout Greg D'Angelo [White Lion] vs Steven Sweet [Warrant] ...[winner gets a date w Rikki, chaperoned by the Scorpions' orig drummer...if they get too touchy-feely on the first date, he calls Tommy Aldridge & Scott Travis to come over & beat "some serious quads" on them [seriously] about the head & shoulders with baseball bats [aka "their drumsticks"] [img]wink.gif[/img] [img]tongue.gif[/img] ]...
