If the ones in the store looks like those I'll be passing on the entire line-up....what the hell happened to the original sculpts/bases/colors/etc.?
This will be my first product disappointment from SOTA if they turn out this way in production.

I didn't have any "must haves" in this series, but I had some interest in Dog Soldiers and Legend. It now appears I will not be getting anything from this series.
Hope the Thing boxset doesn't have these same issues but I'm afraid these pics aren't a good sign.

I know both of the lines have been plagued by delays and problems with the factories, but come on. I'm sure fans would have been willing to wait an extra few months if it meant getting product that didn't look like a bootleg or Happy Meal Toy.
How can someone look at these images and believe SOTA is NOT in trouble?
Why compromise quality in order to make the Halloween deadline?
Why not really spend the time to make both lines what they should have been-- flagship lines for the new SOTA Toys?

It looks like they aren't even making Halloween, but stuff will be available the week or two afterwards.
The lovecraft line might be salvageable with custom repainting. Course it depends on what retail price we see, and how big they actually are.
I read more, and the BG Cylon doesn't impress me as much as I'd hoped.
Thanks MM4, I knew they were very different but seeing those it's astounding how sucky the new ones look in comparison.

Meg looks salvagable.. remove her new hair, repositon her on her base like the original, and add some new swamp hair, and weeds.
It looks like her sculpt is intact, but the pain apps got scaled way back and screwed up.
She looks so bad I'm sure we'll see her on clearance for a long time, so I'll wait till I see her on sale.

Yep, bad news. Actually, the Lovecraft stuff doesn't look too bad - hard too tell with that much light on them whether the paint is good or not. But the Now Playing stuff...*sigh*
And as to the BG Cylon's, I did an actual review of them a couple weeks ago:

I missed that review. >sigh< No ankle or foot articulation at all? and a robot with ball jointed hips, but the just give him a cut joint? What were they smoking?
I figured he'd be nice along side the old BG cylon, but at $60 with the limited articulation, I'm not sure if I wanna bite.
I don't really collect statues, and we usually pose our figures dramaticallt together.
I'm gonna have to mull this one over som. if he was $30, or maybe even $40 I might still crack, but at $60 plus shipping, that's a hard pill to swallow.
Especially after getting the 12" Dr. Who Cyberman shipped for under $35.

i'm with you guys in that they don't look so great, but truthfully i didn't want any of this series anyway. i really hope they can pull it back together for series 4 though because i really want the Leprachaun and the new Killer Klown to look as great as possible

The Werewolf doesn't look that bad, but Meg still looks rough.
I still don't understand what SOTA was thinking with this line-up. I have absolutely no interest in the singles, and I actually like Legend and Dune.
MacReady looks alright, but I've never liked the pose, even in the initial proto pics... he'll look stupid in any other pose, so I don't know why they even gave him ball-jointed arms...
