give me some imput on gay marriages should they or shouldn't they be able to marry?

No it should not be legal... and neither should any other form of marriage!

It seems to me, the goverment has nothing better to do than waste our time and tax dollars on banning gays from marrying.

What is the big deal?

Gay people.... they're not hurting me, they're not hurting you, they're not hurting damn one. All they wanna do is be happy with someone. What the hell is so wrong about that?

I've always thought the goverment had their priorities fucked up. What about fighting a little harder to make sure everyone in the United States has a warm bed to lay down in at night instead of a cardboard box? Or enough medicine so they won't have to choose between eating and having the medicine they need daily to stay alive? Or... What about the general welfare of our country?

Honestly what the hell is the big deal, they should have as much right to marry and be happy or miserable, whatever the case may be, just the same as everyone else. What the hell does it hurt anyone if gay people marry.

Bri, you took the words right out of my mouth. I agree with everything you said 110%. What I can't stand is how the government wants everyone to treat gays like they are some kind of disease. They think being gay is contagious. They think that allowing gay marriages will make America and the government lose control. But that's just it, the government should not have any control over what goes on in an adults bedroom. It's nobodys business. Why can't the government see past their political eyes and the possibilities of "hey I can earn peoples votes here if I ban gay marriages" and just accept the fact that gay people are people too. They are not different. They live and breathe just like everyone else. They are human too. They are not some alien breed, they are not out to hurt anyone, they just want to be loved and respected like everyone else. I think the government needs to be more concerned with terrorists attacks, finding Osma Bin Laden, poverty and things that are actually "government" related. The government is crossing the line and sticking their nose where it doesn't belong telling peolpe what they can or can't do with themselves or their own bodies.
God, everyone leave the gays alone. Just let them be happy and live. They are people too for crying outloud. That's all the gay people wanna do is live and let live and be left alone to live their own lives. Why can't people just respect that? This reminds me of when you first heard of interracial marriages and the whole interracial thing. At first nobody liked it, everyone was picked on and attacked, and then people just got use to seeing it. I am hoping that it will be the same with gay marriages and being gay in America. People will just accept it and let them live and it will just become normal and everyone will leave it alone.
