Yea... This will be our MMORPG discussion topic. Anything to this game style is allowed. so enjoy.

First things first, I've been working hard at trying to play Matrix Online Beta. But i must say, this is the worst update/patch service i've ever seen. So i can start playing the freaking game, i have to defrag my computer! This is bullshit. As for the game, clearly, i haven't been able to play it. I can create a character, and it seems pretty good. The style of the Matrix is here for sure, and the stats are unique. I'll say more once i get in.

In other news, I've found a video of a game called Ragnarok II (thank you 4chan). It looks good, very good in terms of graphics. I would assume the gameplay will be similar.

Disney's Toontown Online,
Middle Earth Online,
and maybe some crap about Runescape, or Anarchy Online.

Big MMORPG news! The next in the PSO series for the PC (PSO:Blue Burst) will have server side saving. This make the game much better already. I may consider getting this game now.

I always thought thats a good thing. Lets put it this way: its a new PS2 cRPG from Sega, the company behind Skies of Arcadia and Panzer Dragoon Saga. Isnt that something that we can look forward to?

I loved Sega Enterprises, and all their old subsidiary's. Sadly, that company no longer exists, and its all too easy to convince yourself that they're as good as they used to be.

Same applies to Square Enix. They're no Squaresoft, thats for sure. However, people, me included, make the mistake of seeing them as one and the same, leading to disappointment afer disappointment.

That said, this Phantasy Star Universe, while not in the online format we've become so accustomed to, still looks promising. After all, the Phantasy Star series did start off as the Megadrive's only answer to the onslought of SNES cRPG's.

But its still being developed by Sonic Team, its just the group without the employees working on the networking/online play side of the game. So long as they get Saori Kobayashi to reprise her role as composer for the series, i'll be happy. Her work in PSO1+2 gave it a very special atmosphere.
