Anyone know where these movies come from? It was obviously a broadcast of some sort - there's a channel ident in the top left. But there's no other information, and nothing on his site either.
He's my new hero. Same age as me. And doesn't hold anything back... when he makes a statement, the statement stays well and truly made.

Yeah, when I am in Zurich I watch this channel a lot. There's usually something worth watching every weekend and we are talking top-of-the-line music.

That was great. He swings so hard and, as some time ago was told here about Vinnie, Lewis Nash has that rage, that fire. And he?s so musical. What a great sound on the drums and cymbals.

Everyone who hasn't already should check Nash on Branford Marsalis' 'Random Abstract'. Killing.

It's funny that you talk about this Bran's album with Nash on drums.
I think that he plays really great on this record, but also I think that his ride cymbal have a weird sound, maybe too much "ping"...
And Branford didn't like what did Nash on this album !!!
But me i think that Nashy is a killer !!!
"Tain" was not on this one because he was touring with Wynton.

I think Nash is great and it's actualy the first time i have ever 'seen' him play. JTW is arguably the best Jazz drummer of our time...his work on the other Branford album was awesome...

Wow I didn't know that Branford didn't like Nash's playing on that record. Where did you hear about that?
One thing I really like about Random Abstract is that Because Bran likes that fire from drummers (TAIN!) you get to hear LN burn it up a bit more than he does with say, Tommy Flanagan (he is still killing w/TF obviously.)
There's also a Branford video called I think 'The Steep Anthology'? w/ LN.

I did a mistake, Bran love the way how Nashty played on "Random Abstract".
It's just that he thinks that Lewis drumming is very limited compared to "Tain"'s playing.
Lewis could not play the music who was supposed to be recorded for "Random Abstract" so Banford had to change his entire approach to the recording.
Sorry again for my mistake.
