ok,I saw this C.D. and I've seen topics on HIM posted here. Tell me about this guy. any good? He has a cool look but that doesn't mean jack without the sound. Whats this sound like. Describe please.

Quite a deep voice, almost Sisters Of Mercy-ish, but that's coming from someone who knows jack shit about gothy stuff.

Kinda dark glam, but sounds ok, from what I've heard.

I just got back from visitinig the site and well,you know my lament on my "shitty dial up connection" Broken record nonwithstanding, I will try to go back and give a listen but I'll be better off just buying the damn thing(cd) If I hate it,I'll just trade it back to the store for credit. Love metal. Interesting concept. The singer lists Roy Orbison as one of his influneces. I love Roy orbison.

go with Razorblade Romance or And Love Said No (greatest hits package). they are both good places for a non HIM fan to start. I love them but i'm sure people expected that from me.

if you get the tv channel Fuse they are always running a commercial for the US verion of Razorblade Romance. you can get a quick listen there.

Hey Bill,whats up? havent seen you here in a bit. Thanks for that link. I just got back from listening to a few songs. Wow,I'm so totally impressed. The originals are great but I think their cover of wicked game is cool also. Well,I'd describe this not so much as dark at all but a more intensely sensual type of sound. I'm definitely going to get some HIM for sure. I'm saving this link on my fav's. Thanks again.

I wouldn't place them anywhere near the classification of 'goth' ... in fact, I couldn't even attempt to classify them even if I tried to, actually, my partner and I were discussing this this weekend, n' we said the only thing you could call them is alternate ... they appeal to such a wide variety of people it's just impossible to say what they sound like until you hear them ... if it helps, the lyrics and music is quite dark yet romantic and Ville's vocals are out of this world, dreamy, sensational, all in all a damn fine listen in all respects, but this is from someone who thinks they're absolutely amazing
