Man the WRX got a new Turbo XS Manual Boost controller. The WRX really kicks ass now, raced a 01 Ford Lightning it got left in first gear and had to catch up and crept by beat it by half a car in the quarter mile. The car is running 14.5psi of boost and the boost doesn't bleed off cause of the new boost controller. It feels like a high 13 second car now.

Am I correct in understanding there are like 3 cats on that beast? Have you looked into replacing with a single high-flow 3" cat or is that just not possible yet?

Yeah it has a cat-back custom 3" piping with 3" Apexi N1 Dark blue muffler. Honestly the power increase wasn't that dramatic, I'm sure it helped on high end though.

I just ordered my MBC for the WRX, but I'm debating on whether I will buy a cat back exhaust, or a downpipe and the Morette h/l conversion.
Any opinions?

Yeah i'm sure its possible dudes to replace it with one cat. Right now its just the money to buy the downpipe/uppipe to replace it. I think the downpipe would help more than a cat back exhaust. I'm sure no cat on pipe would be quite powerful. But right now we're exploring all the street legal ways of making power first, then get rid of the cats. AEM CAI is next for the rex.

Tonight i drove a 13 second WRX. and it IS fast. I loved it. I almost didnt want to give it back to my buddy brian. I want one!
And they are good to pick up girls in. I had one girl all over me at a traffic light!

Also imagine being 19 having a 16 second supercharged civic ex automatic, working hard over years to build up it up, bit by bit. And then your little brother gets a WRX 5 speed off the showroom floor. Yup. LOL I'm all for it though atleast someone has a fast car in the family now
