Underwhelmed

I was just flicking through a few DH boards..and I realised I rarely go to them these days. I once thought I would never truly recover from the whole SG thing. I mean I havent fully. But the fact that DH himself is out and about and there are listening parties all over the place which I know nothing about. He is even attending some from all accounts? I mean I have never been so far behind in news. Just the sense that I dont even care to even know the news.I mean I feel happy for the fans that are happy and doing all the good stuff. Its soo much more fun when you can be that kind of fan.

All I know is I feel underwhelmed by everything DH. I will buy his album just like I buy other artist album and listen and make judgement.This time there will be no special treatment cause hes Darren and I adored him so much. Talent has to shine,lyrics have to inspire and music has to move me.

now when is the callings album due out LOL

I'm sort of on the outside edge of the DH fan thing myself nowadays but I must admit that I'm looking forward to hearing his new album, although my heart did sink and I gave an inward sigh when I read that it's going to be another electronic offering. Still, I WILL give it my best attention and try not to compare it to Spin b/c, by all accounts, it's a corker. Of course, DH fans are not what you'd call stinting in their praise of him but I'll give them, and him, the benefit of the doubt this time. [img]wink.gif[/img] *lol*

As for The Calling's album, I think it's out in June Kat, or that could be the single but either way, I'll be buying them both. [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img]

btw - it now looks like the TCFC DVD will <u>NOT</u> be released to the public, according to a thread over on the Barbieville bbs. [img]tongue.gif[/img] *looks smug and says "I told you (generic) so"* lol

After those initial reports from Laurie and Cat over in SF at the LP yesterday, I have to say that I am now very excited at the prospect of hearing his new album (some might say crazy or nuts)!! [img]wink.gif[/img]

I honestly think this will be a masterpiece. The words melodramatic and gothic were used by Darren himself to describe it. It's obviously something totally unique but still real and sincere at the same time and I wouldn't expect anything less from Darren.

I just really need to hear it now [img]smile.gif[/img]

PS OMG those pics that Gracie posted on the new BBS of Darren!! Is he back to black or what!! I'm just loving the whole look he's got going on atm! [img]graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [img]graemlins/kiss.gif[/img]

Im not sure that any real reviews of the album will come out of these listening parties. I know they are not allowed to name songs etc and fair enough.

I do hope the new album is great. I hope its all that and some more. But till I give it a listen I guess I dont know. I cant take any ones word for it except my own.

LOL Terry at TCFC DVD.. I think they have pushed the whole spin TCFC thing under the carpert.. it wasnt real you know!!!

Well, I went to Barbieville (as Terry so lovingly puts it lol) and I couldn't find where it says the TCFC DVD isn't gonna be released, so which thread is that in? [img]smile.gif[/img]

Also, I couldn't see any of the pics on the new Sony board so would someone mind posting them for me please? [img]smile.gif[/img]

Just had a good long look at the Pictures posted by Alicia. He does look good,(amend that to hot!!) very handsome & cool. Also on reading the summaries of the SFLP, TTAP sounds like it is going to be uncomfortable listening, not that isn't a good thing. It sounds very different to Spin(which isn't a bad thing.)I like the sound of the 'gothic' tag someone gave it. I think they said it was Darren himself who described it that way. It would explain all the silver rings & necklaces perhaps! I am looking forward to it's 'eventual' release.

Re the DVD, there has been no mentiona at all of that - I agree with Jane and hope they release it to the Fanclub instead of wasting all the footage.

I've just been able to get the link to work for the pics and is it just me or is there a bit of a goth thing going on with him atm, ( the rings, black hair, necklaces)?????
