I've seen a few people mention it before, but I haven't really seen any good solutions. I got a 96 GSR with a JRSCC/6PSI/BTM/VAFC/AEM/RSRH/GreddyExh , stock 15 inch wheels (lite), 205 P7000SS tires, and about 45K on the car (20k on the JRSC), and the stock clutch.
If I let the clutch out easy and get the car up to 2500 rpm, then floor it, I get almost instant wheel hop. It's pretty severe sometimes, and I can pretty much always get it to happen of the ground is at all wet or rough. I've done several runs at the Woodburn drag with my times very limited by it. (14.0@101-102MPH, 2.3-2.4 60fts)
So, what are the opinions on the following changes in regards to wheel hop.
(1) Upgraded Urethane engine mounts
(2) Upgraded Urethane upper and lower suspension bushings.
(3) ITS LSD (or other)
(4) Larger wheels

All three of the ES torque mounts should cure it, or at least most of it.
Sometimes specific tire compounds can cause greater wheel hop.

ES three point engine mount inserts make most of it go away... yes your rearview mirror will viberate at idle... I think it's worth it...

Don't forget guys, the two side ones are the most important ones and also the easiest to install. I haven't seen wheel hop since I put my two side ones in about 4 months ago. GGRRRRRRRRRRRRREAT investment and well worth the small amount of vibration that picked up after the mounts. Do it and you won't regret it. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif

I have the two sides ones in and still get mad wheel hop, I am running on stock tires though, so that probably has something to do with it, and the fact that I drive with setting 4 in front on my AGX's

Crom, you drive with your AGXs on 4? Wow. I tried that for a day and pretty much had the crap beaten out of me by my car. 4 is pretty damn stiff.

I am using only the rear mount and its great! the front ones give mad vibration. drove me nuts.

OrTegSC: We have similar rides, but even before I put in the mm inserts I did not have as bad a wheel hop problem as you describe.
I'm rolling on Yoko AVSi 205-50-15. Maybe you could try some different tires as well as put the inserts in.

hahahah. yeah put it in when you do a motor swap. easiest install of a motor mount I have ever done!!
I never bothered to attempt when the motor was in. too much effort.

sjoback: Thanks for the info. I'm going to try the front 2 first, then look at doing the rear one.
Holden: Yea, the wheel hop I've been getting does seem more than normal. How may miles do you have. I've got about 45k of pretty hard miles(autocross, drag, etc). Perhaps the torque mounts in my car a worn more? (I'm currently on P7000 205/50R15, but the problem was almost as bad on the SP9000 205/50R15s)

OrTegSC: I have 53K miles on my car. 8K miles SC. 6 1/4 mile runs. 80 or so autocross runs.
I'm pretty mellow when not competing, but use my car for everything it's got when I am competing.
