Hi!
I can't help with your Kailey question since I don't have her but...
I just wanted to say welcome to HB! I hope you like it here and enjoy talking about AG stuff with us!
Katie
Welcome to the board!
That definatly looks like Kailey to me!
Definately Kailey.
#22 has real light blonde hair and blue eyes.
Did the buyer say who she "thinks" it is? Maybe she's just leery because of the clothes she's wearing...(not a kailey outfit)

Wow, thank you for all of your replies!
My buyer still thinks the doll is a today girl because of the neck numbers ~~ she has seen Kailey purchased from AGPC without the 68 c3, so I'm still not sure what is going to happen.
Also, thank you for your welcome! I already know that I love it here, been lurking forever!
This board is addicting. When I started reading it all we had was Kirsten, in less than a year we were up to 12 girls! I recently did sell most of them off, we had house repairs. It will be alot of fun building our collection back up though!
A little about myself, My name is Tobie & I am a SAHM of Bri & Caity (12 & 6), and we are on our 7th year of homeschooling!
Just so you know, I have 2 Marisol's.
One has numbers and one doesn't, one is lighter skin and has a fatter face (sorry Marisol #2 - it's a cute face).
I was told that they were made at different factories. Still both original Marisol's.
Buyers are getting so leery anymore, maybe she's just paranoid or something. She sure looks like my Kailey who is sitting right here with me at the computer. Good luck and welcome to the board! Sorry you had to have a bummer ebay selling experience though. A to cheer you up! Edited to add: Welcome Tobie and congrats on your successful homeschooling. My sil has done it now for 15 years. Her oldest is going into her sophomore year and the youngest is going into first grade (I think-I lose track of my nieces and nephews sometimes!) What a beautiful doll, maybe the buyer is having "Buyers remorse", my doll has 60 C3 on her neck. I bought her a year ago and never even looked.
If the lady wants her money back, bring her home and fix her up and resell her. Now that you know who she is you can list her properly and make some real money on her. You can find her meet outfit for $15. on ebay sometimes.
Good luck with whatever you do!
<font size="2" face="Verdana, Helvetica, sans-serif">**shrugs** I hate to break it to her, but my Kailey proudly bears a 68 c3 marking on the back of her neck, too. It's located below the "Pleasant Company" imprint and looks like it was physically stamped into her neck as opposed to being a part of the mold (like the Pleasant Company logo is). She was purchased at American Girl's Madison Children's Museum sale.Quote:

Your buyer got a great deal on a retired doll. If she wants to pass it up and return Kailey to you at her expense, I'm sure someone on this board will gladly take her off your hands.
Hi ladies, I'm new to posting to this board but have been a regular reader for a few years now.
I could really use your expert advice. I had recently sold a doll I believed to be Kailey on Ebay, but my buyer has emailed me saying she believes it to be a today doll. My doll has the numbers 68 c3 on the back of her neck and a body tag with 2008 on it. I called the AG costumer service and they had no clue, they told me to post my question on a message board.
If my doll is not Kailey, I will refund my buyer. Could any of you ladies look at my auction and let me know if this is indeed Kailey, or a today doll ~~280013269392
Thank you so much!
Tobie
She looks like an authentic Kailey doll to me! ^_^ She has the sun-streaked blonde hair signature to Kailey, which none of the AGT dolls have. Also, her hair is too dark to be AGT #22 and she lacks #24's freckles. I'd say she's the real deal, I don't know why the buyer thinks otherwise. Hope that helps!
That is definatly a Kailey. She is gorgeous too!
She definately looks like Kailey!
yep!! I would buy her!! lol
I NEED a Kailey!
It's Kailey, we bought ours from AG and still have the invoice. Give her the money back and sell her to someone here who will love the doll!
She's lovely!
And a wonderful price too.
Your doll looks like the real thing and your buyer got a great deal on her. I'm sure someone on this board would love to have her. It's really sad that because of a few scam artists selling fakes and rewigged AG's so buyers are questioning even the honest ebay sellers.
