Giving any kind of gas above like 1500RPM completely blows the tires off and you just hit the rev-limiter. I was having too much fun to let it end there. So I did something I dont normally do. I shifted hard into 4th. The car LEAPED forward as the ACT extreme grabbed. And the pulling just continued non-stop! I'm serious when I say it felt like one of the Star Wars ships going into warp speed.
Whew... that was fun. Ok.. car is still idling in garage. Hearing the APEX N1 taming the turbo exhaust into a low growl on the other side of the wall is quite satisfying as well. Better go shut it off now. God I love my car. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Rafe: I have Pirelli P700Z's in 205/50R15 on my stock 95 GS-R wheels. They REALLY don't like this cold weather. It was like 21 degrees this morning and it felt like I was spinning the top of 3rd gear getting on the highway. It wasn't squeeling, but past 5K RPM it started slipping to redline and I started drifting into the shoulder! http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/eek.gif

Yup the weather is pretty nice here in So Cal. I think I wore shorts last weekend. It does get down to about 45 at night so that's pretty cold for us......heh heh heh.

Not very often anyway... snow fall is fairly rare here in Alabama. The bad news is that when we DO get some snowfall, we as a state are totally unprepared. We do not have niceties like salt trucks and snow plows... so the city is paralyzed until everything melts.
In '93, we had a snowstorm in APRIL that piled over 30" of snow on my back porch in less than 24 hours !!! I was without power for FOUR days and we could not drive down my street for SIX... it was a COOL vacation... literally.

Saw the today's forecast last night (3-6" snow) and slapped on the Blizzaks last night.
They suck at ALL other times, but DAMN their a lot of fun in 3" of slush and snow. Coming into work this morning doing 4 wheel drifts around corners. YEEEEHAAAAAAWWWW!!!
You really feel like a shark among lesser fish in traffic when you have hardcore snow tires on.

I live for freakish accleration. I did a GTech run too... 13.5 at 119MPH... lol... stupid GTech. I barely used 1st gear. HAd the PRofec set to 0.45-bar for 1st and 2nd.. then hit the high boost button up to .6-bar for 3rd thru 4th... I thought I was gonna redline 4th before the Gtech said q/m was over!

Last night I spent almost two hours shoveling out the entrance to my garage. I had to move over 20" of snow from a 22' X 15' patch. Wow! Was I tired. Then to top it off, I was awakened by the sound of dripping water at 4AM this morning. It turns out the gutter iced up and water was running along the wall to the top of the window frame where it then came into the house. Sooooo, I got up, got dressed, got out the 28' ladder, climbed on the roof (flat roof) and spent 3 hours shoveling all of the snow off the back section of the house and then using a garden hose hooked up to a hot water supply, melted all of the ice out of the gutter. I'M TIRED OF THIS! And it's not even winter yet. WTF?!?!
Anyhow, I guess I can laugh about it for now... Until the next time it snows. Who know's? Maybe there will be a gutter heater and a snow blower in my Christmas stocking. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif

yo MarkC!! Where in Monterey did you live at before. I live in Salinas which is just a few miles from Monterey and I work in Carmel. The weather here is awesome. Right now it gets to like the 60's in the day and 38-45's at night. Perfect for those 3rd gear blasts don't you think? Gonna go Eclipse hunting on Saturday night with a couple of turbo hondas/Integs. Just hope it doesn't rain tho.

This cold air is awesome, today it was 13 degrees and the car pulls like a psycho. Even with the BTC turned all the way down i am getting no detonation since the air is so damn cold. The tires suck(pirelli p700z) since any snow or ice makes me slide all over. hell i got stuck driving up my driveway since it is iced up. But the cold air is making it worth taking the car out. It is fast as hell and puts a grin on my face after driving my POS saturn for the past 3 weeks. ahhhhh boost.
i have been looking at this site for Audi's since I think AWD might be nice, and a friend found a blower for the 2.8 motor. It is totally sweet, and I am thinking my next car might be a blown A4QM. http://www.pes-tuning.com/g2_supercharger_main.htm
