I just got back from a trip to Birmingham to have Jim from Next Level do a little work on my GSR. The difference in the car is night and day, and I still haven't had a chance to dyno tune the car yet, so there is still more potential.
To give you guys an idea, I was kinda disapointed with the power I was getting when the kit was first installed. Now, my car is capable of scaring the crap out of me. I think I may need to install a 5-point racing diaper in my seat so that I don't soil the interior LOL!
Anyway, didn't get a chance to take her to the track because of the weather but... Jim has an SCd hybrid that has run a best time of 12.88 and OUR CARS WERE DEAD EVEN (most of the time)!!!
The moral of the story is make sure you have your car tuned properly. All the bolt-ons in the world won't help if they aren't working at their ultimate potential. And if you are anywhere near Birmingham, go see Jim. I drove down from DC and it was sooo worth the trip.

OK, here is what I am running now...
- 8psi with 15 degrees of advance
- Jackson H20 injection
- Hypertech Shogun
- MSD BTM
- Venom 280cc injectors
- AEM cam gears (not tuned)
To answer your questions, the majority of the tuning involved fuel delivery and timing curve. Nothing groundbreaking - Jim just knows what he is doing and did a good job of optimizing the set-up. Like I said, there is still more potential because this was all seat-of-the-pants tuning. I still need some dyno time.
Jim's number is listed on the Jackson racing website under authorized dealers (Next Level Performance). I think that it is 205 798-0112.

Is the Hypertech Shogun boost sensitive, or are you just adding Fuel based on RPM? Also, is it temperature sensitive, or does it have multiple programs? The reason I ask is because with 8psi, 270cc injectors, and no fuel management other than the FPR, I find that as the Temp fluctuates in Missouri (can go from teens to 50s overnight) the fuel mix goes from rich to lean. This makes sense, but I wish I had another way to control fuel delivery other than that stupid relay and the Jackson riser. With the Shogun and bigger injectors installed, do you still have the relay hooked up? Also, do you still use the Jackson Riser? Please let me know.

remember the stock computer does compensate for tempature change just not as much as we would like it too http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/smile.gif Yes the relay is still hooked up and the riser is still used. The shogun is to fine tune the fuel curve so that you have a decent idle with great low end punch (ability to advance the timing) and on the top side add more fuel in and more timing (to give back what the BTM takes away) but no the Shogun is not boost sensitive, fuel and timing are added based on RPM's.

Someone else posted a question about the Shogun. From what I have seen so far, it is well worth the money. Allows you to tune the power curve so that there is a minimum of compromise between low-end, mid-range, and high-end.
Vincentc - yes, Washington, DC. It took me 11.5 hours to get down and 10 hours to get back It is almost 800 miles. And I still say it was worth the trip.

That sounds like a plan. Actually, I don't know anyone in the area who is into the import scene. Really, I don't know anyone around here who is even into cars/racing/speed or any of that good stuff.
