Yes, I am hooked on the new Micromen figures, and it is in part, Cemetery Man's fault!

Don't get me wrong, I am a LONGtime fan of Micronauts, and therefore Microman, and do collect the vintage Micronauts a bit, not to mention I am crazy about Japanese toys, so it isn't that much of a surprize. Also, I had thought about picking some up before, but didn't want to start another line, since at the time, I was already collecting so much stuff.

Anyway, as I was placing an order for some more Micromen from smalljoes.com (who have pretty good prices on them BTW), I thought of something Jor said to me at the last toy show we hit....

"It's the kicks that kill you"

...and this kick may very well do me in. In the last couple weeks, I have placed 4 orders for Micromen, and I want MORE!!!

After I saw CM's review of Acrovoltech, I knew I had to get one, but I didn't know I would want to get them ALL! [img]eek.gif[/img]

Tell me about it, TCM.

I bought some last year for customs, but with the release of Microman Batman and news of more comics-based Micromen, I'm really psyched about the line. Personally, I can't wait for Spider-Man... I've pretty much waited my whole life for awesome 4" versions of my favorite heroes, and they're both being released this year!

Just pre-ordered Batman from Joe after finally caving in to temptation... made a deposit into my bank account, so now was as good a time as any.

I'd love to see plenty more Marvel and DC Microman figures, but the prices are really going to become a problem. We can only hope that we'll see the figures produced here for a fraction of the price.

Yeah, I hope the prices get better. The non-licensed figures aren't bad if you get them at the right place, but the licensed characters are pretty pricey, even when imported. The good thing I guess, is they only come out a few at a time, instead of a whole series.

I can't wait for Spider-Man myself. I would KILL for a classic Green Goblin, and a classic Joker. I think a Capt. America would be cool too, if only for a micro shield. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]

Green Goblin and Joker would be awesome.

The Justice League and Avengers would be kick-ass, as would a Daredevil.

As far as the mini Cap shield goes, there's one out there. Toy Biz came out with another 2" die-cast line within the last six months. Some of the figures are re-releases, but some (like Captain America, Iron Man, Hulk, Daredevil, and Punisher) are new.

Cap's shield is a little oversized for the mini-figure, but it fits in nicely with Joes.

You should be able to find the Marvel mini-figures at Target, which is pretty much the only place I've ever seen 'em.

Cool man, yeah, there is an old Mego 3 3/4" shield as well. I just think a Capt. Microman with shield would be cool.

Oh TCM.... I too have fallen off the Microwagon.

I started customizing my Micromen the other day... I took the late 90's micromen that had the magetic feet... and swapped out the lower half of the legs on a few figures. My BotP Mark can now look like he's scaling the side of the fridge. My Spymaster is hanging upside down from the lamp.

I also opened the Dynamic Forces Exclusive Time Traveller and swapped out a vintage 70's pharoid head and lower legs.... he looks pretty cool.

I'll have my Acroyears this week (and hopefully the new Digi-cam I bought) ao I'll post some pics. [img]smile.gif[/img]

Wow, I created a monster! I'm trying to watch my cash but I'm really tempted to keep going ape with the Micro lines. Really these are of some my favorite new figures this year. Partly because they're updating the Micros that bring back memories and partly because they're just great as is. It'd be a trip to have had these new ones back when I was a kid.

Oh- I got a reply from Super 7 about the art thing. The Mark guy said he'd forward me to someone else named Jing, and that they'd probably need to see some samples first. I went right ahead and emailed Jing 13 samples but so far no word yet. [img]eek.gif[/img]

CM: Well, good you heard back from Mike, hopefully you will hear back about your submissions. I don't see why you wouldn't, when your Membros art (and everything else I have seen from you) is some really great stuff. But, who knows knows how these particular guys judge their art submissions.
