I am working In Algeria, It is hot, DAMN hot and sandy DAMN sandy. And it's a dry country with no Pork. GOD I MISS BUD AND BACON SANDWICHES. Only 23 more days then home, to one hell of a gut ache and a SERIOUS hangover.
Anyway PLEASE can someone help me, I need to download a picture of the Tattoo on Ricks arm from the film The Mummy Returns.
Any Ideas.

I did a GIS and couldn't find one of the tattoo. I didn't even notice he had one in that film.
Yeah, it was in the whole "Im a traveller From the East" speach on the blimpy thing.

Algeria and why I work here. A short story by Batfreak.
I work for a company called Wilson, we supply pipeline and fittings to the oil & gas industry, we have been trying to establish an office/warehouse in Algeria. This means there are two of us working rotational trips, 28 days in country, 28 days off. We work a 12 hour day, 7 days a week whilst in country.
It is hot (usually in the 60's by 9 am) and getting hotter, July and August the temp gets into the low hundreds, loose about 10 kilo's per trip in that heat, no matter how much you drink you always seem to be thirsty.
Algeria is a "Dry" county meaning NO ALCHOHOL at all. SOB.... Also they do not eat pork, so no bacon, no sausages.. Double SOB...
We are only just getting established, so not many visitors to the office, which means some days you can go all day without a sensible conversation with anyone. (We have a receptionist with limited English and Two guards with no English and limited French.)

I did a few searchs and got all sorts of stories about the ?lost continuity or not as he wore an armd band over it in the first film and a story of someone who got that tattoo done (no flash pic posted tho') oh and apparently he died in the Bali bombings and the tattoo was the only way they knew it was him. [img]frown.gif[/img] So no luck on the pics yet.
No alcohol + no pork = strict muslim culture. They don't make their women cover everything but their eyes, do they?
So are you actually getting this tattoo when you find the pic?
I've been rethinking the possibility of getting a tattoo but my friend keeps telling me how painful it is. (must be why she has 3)

The covering of women depends on how religious the family is. It is up to the husband how much the wife or wives (The men are allowed three wives) must cover up. Most women you see have everything but their faces covered, only about 20% have everything but their eyes covered and as the town becomes more "westernised" you see a lot of the younger women dressed in what we consider a normal manner..
Yes I am after the Mummy tattoo, I have the inscription from the one ring (Lord of The Rings) on my right wrist and Tolkiens emblem thingy on my right forearm and before you all start about being a film fanboy I had the ring inscription done about 7 years ago.
CB: It's not that painful, I am a grade A wimp and I have had two and am thinking of another.
i think more what stops me is that I'm the kind of person who thinks alot and I'm really paranoid about picking something I really want not to mention putting it in the right place. I've come up with about 3 strong possible ideas, but I think i need to do more soul searching and more serious picture searching before deciding.
Have you tryed asking a tattoo studio? I know they're usually super protective of their designs but considering it is someone else's design you could ask around.

I found a design for my next one. I'm just wondering if I should do it or not. Not because I'm afraid of the pain, but because I won't be able to give blood for a year afterwards. It seems kind of selfish to get one, but it's been a while since I got new ink.
Well I don't have to worry about that I'm below the weight range to give blood and I tend to fall off the chair just having a blood test so its probably not a good idea. (It's not the needles hehe being a lab.tech. for 10 years has meant 10 yrs of being stabbed with a needle every year for TB testing, HepB testing, flu vacc. I'm surprised I don't leak)
Ooh. The annual TB test. I don't miss working at the medical facility at all!
They used to offer free flu vaccines there as well. The one time I took them up on the offer I caught a virus that wasn't part of that year's vaccine. The only time I've really gotten a bad flu bug was after I'd been vaccinated. I'll trust my own immune system from now on thankyouverymuch. :P
I got my 3rd tattoo this past March. It's an STP one that I will be sending in to Terry. [img]smile.gif[/img]
Hadn't thought about the inability to give blood for a year. But, I've got a solution. I'm arranging a blood drive with the flag football league. If I can't give, at least I can get 50 (hopefully) other people to. [img]biggrin.gif[/img]
