I just had my blower and gauges installed by JRcivic last weekend ask him about it. I have a civic so I don't know if they use the same color wire...... but I know he would know what wire to use and where to find it.

Sooooo much more stuff to do to my civic :)
I installed mine last week, so I think I can help.... take the cover off of the ECU... unbolt the ECU and pull it out, when you are looking at it removed there are 4 plugs on top. The wire you want is in the row which is furthest to the RIGHT, with the connectons on top. WHITE wire (NO MARKINGS) other than WHITE. I think it's in the SECOND row of that connector (from the left). Get out your voltmeter, and make sure that this wire does not go above .99 volts (+). Poke a hole through it with a sharp object (an awl is best) and solder your connection.

Thanks, much appreciated. Now... where's the ecu? I completely rebuilt the motor myself on the last car, renting garage space and lift time to do it, and it took friggin' forever. This time, I let somebody else deal with the hard part. So since I didn't install the blower myself, I don't really know where things are on this car.

Rats!
Found the ECU (I think) but with only 3 connectors on it. White wire didn't seem to be it. No markings I saw indicating D14 either...
feel stuck and frustrated.
See my new post, "Found the ECU, still lookin for that O2 wire..."
It's D14...there wont be any markings on the ECU or plugs....just follow the diagram

it is a white w/red stripe wire at pin number seven in the sixteen pin harness.it should be in the middle row, second or third from the left.the ecu is behind the kick panel.check it with a volt meter.it should be about .6v with a warm engine.
TurbotypeR....I think you are reffering to a 96+ Teg....he has a 95...look at the diagram above...D14 is in the 3rd plug with 22 pins

yea,it was a 96-up.sorry,i tried.just get it at the o2 under the hood.there should be two grounds,an ignition power, and a signal.if i am not mistaken,it is the white wire on the sensor side of the harness.don't splice into the sensor side.use the other side.
for '95 GSR (should be the same for all 94-01), the position of o2 sensor wire to hook up a/f is D14
Hey Petie, just a note on the manuals. DON'T BUY A POS CHILTONS The only manual that any dedicately IMPORT tuner or RACER (I say import because the domestic guys can settle for the half assed B/S explainations and shitty illustrations in the Chiltons but we shouldn't settle for less then the best) should own is the HELMS. It'll cost you 5X that of a Chiltons but guess what, you'll get 5X the information too http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/wink.gif

Petie,
Sorry I am late for this party...
The sensor wire location IS D14 as CivicR has specified. The wire color can be one of two: white/red trace or just plain old white. It is in the seventh hole from the left, bottom row of the "D" plug... which when looking at the ECU with the release pins pointed UP, is the far right plug.
Now, the proper way to attach your new wire to the O2 signal wire is to strip back the insulation, use a small pick or flat-head screwdriver and split the copper strands in half -- so that you can slip the copper strands of the A/F wire in between. Then pull the wire tight, and wrap the A/F wire around the O2 signal wire a few times. Finally, tape over the connection with electrical tape. If you have access to a soldering iron, you could place a drop or two on the connection just for security.
Good luck.
Jim

Think I'll try at the ecu again. I looked all around under the hood at every part of the exhaust manifold I could see with a flashlight and I have no idea where to look for the o2 sensor there. (where DID they put it?)
CivicR thanks for the drawing.
turbotypeR thanks too.
96IntegraRS I realize it didn't come out quite right but I certainly appreciate the effort. I'll let you know how it comes out.
