...once in a while, there is a story in the news that even manages to make me feel a slight twinge in my cold, dead, rotted heart. This is one of those. I think it really has an important message for everyone to hear, and that is why I have chosen to share it with you...people. *cough*
Some time, not too long ago, a construction crew began building a new home next door to where a little girl lived. The little girl introduced herself to the burly builders, and charmed them utterly. She began to "work" for them, doing small chores such as gathering bent nails and the like, and they were so impressed with her industrious attitude, they presented her with her very own "paycheck" of a couple of dollars at the end of the week.
When the little girl showed this well-earned reward to her mother, the woman was duly proud and suggested to her daughter that they promptly take it to the bank to open a savings account. The little girl agreed, and when they arrived at the bank they told the whole story to the teller. The teller was quite charmed, and after making all the appropriate congratulations to the little girl, asked her if she would be working again next week.
"We will be..." answered the little girl "...if those assholes at Home Depot ever deliver the fucking sheetrock!"
