LS Supercharged Owners!

Most strut tower bars don't fit over top of the chargers. Does anyone know what kind of bars would fit and what brands? The first one I know that fits is neuspeed.

I have two strut tower bars on mine. I have the stock gsr and the Tenzo R tower bar. Have no problem with them I think the stock bar is 35 dollers and the tenzo to got it for 65 bills.

I cant imagine what fitment issues you are having, I have the OEM TypeR bar (identical to the Comptech). Fits like a glove.

AND I have the larger M62 blower fwiw.

I don't know. My friend had to take off his DC sports and I had to take of my Tenzo one too. Do you have any pics?

I had to take off my generic STB from summit racing. Even after turning the MAP sensor around and shaving off part of it, it still would not fit.

I have the same problem with my strut tower bar. I thought about relocating the map sensor, but their's still not enough room. When ever I have time, I'm going to make new mounts for the strut tower bar to locate it higher. I'm going to reuse the bar piece and refabricate the piece that mounts to the car.

I know I have the same problem. Darn, this stupid thing. I miss my strut bar, you rweally notice it when it's gone. Any other ideas?

Come on guys let's figure this out. What in kind of other bars can I use?

I had a similar problem when my kit was installed. I turned my MAP sensor around and shaved some material off the top and viola! SC w/ a strut bar. I posted in the past about this issue. My father is a machinist and he made billet aluminum spacers and they worked out quite well. I don't know if he can make them for any strut bar considering the differnt mounting styles but it definately works excellent for those with the Comptech or OEM Type R bars. It fits and works perfectly drop me a line via e-mail maybe he can make some more sets since he already has the measurements for the space I needed. I can't promise anything but I'll throw it his way and see what he says.
To The LS Avenger. the reason your not running into this issue is because the larger blowers gooseneck that links to the throttle body is positioned differntly than the m45 blower. Thus making your map sensor avoid any issue with strut tower bars. http://www.hostboard.com/ubb/biggrin.gif

Ah ha ! Nice to hear I avoided at least one issue. Had a problem with the stock FPR not fitting, had to get one from a TypeR that had like a 45 degree bend to it. Plus wrong belt sizes and lots of other fun...
