PRETTY BOY FLOYD...READ THIS...I'M PISSED...

Just venting a bit of frustration here...On February 19th I got the "Pretty Boy Floyd" package off of ebay...It included the new cd, a color 8 x 10, a t-shirt, and the DVD. I paid $60 for it...It's now 103 days later, and after a million promises, a million emails, and even a call from Steve Summer a month ago promising me it was on its way, I still have NOTHING!!!

Do you guys remember back in the late 80's and early 90's when it was like a joke to send money to Floyd? I remember so many people saying "Whatever you do, DO NOT send money to that band...you will never get anything from them"...I thought maybe that time had passed, but obviously not...

I'm at the point now where I just want them to say "Dude, we f**ked you on this...too bad"...That would at least be more respectful than continually promising the stuff is going out, then not sending it...

Here's what I want to know...

1) Has anyone else here had problems getting stuff from them lately?

2) If anyone here knows anybody affiliated with the band, tell him that I don't give a shit if they are broken up, back together with the old lineup, or whatever else is the deal...I paid $60 that I totally could NOT afford to spend on that stuff, and I want it...NOW!!!

The Les thing is one of the real questions for me. Back twelve years ago when I first got into QBP, they sent me stuff like lightning, and then I got to know Les pretty well. We have emailed regularly over the years...It's PBF that I have had the probs with...I guess everyone has different experiences [img]smile.gif[/img]

I don't know if Julie Fitzwater still works with them. She handled PR for them last year when they toured the UK. I used to see her on the sludge boards now and again. She has an ezboard account.

Sandi...I too got ripped off from PBF a while back...when Pornstars came out.
I had ordered 2 copies of the cd(one for me and one for my sis) and a t-shirt...and never got my order. Then I found where all orders and emails were to go to Kristy cuz he was the one taking care of things. Well, after getting pissed, I found the cd at my locals store and bought it. So, I finally emailed Kristy..and bitch saying that I had ordered 2 cds and a t-shirt. He replied back telling me things were up and running again. Well what do you know...STILL NOTHING.

Les probably used all ya guys money for his drug addiction.

I love PBF but even back in the early 90's they would do Friday & Saturday at the Roxy and the ads would say "first 10 people get free photo"or "video available at show"etc. and of course the devoted fan that I am I would always get there first and ask for my free photo or where do i get the video and of course they never had anything.
funny thing about that package, I bought the DVD on e-bay and right away the Kingofbeers guy (Bobby)e-mailed me and asked me if it was a bootleg and then told me he made the DVD package and said I should buy it from the band, of course the only reason I didn't buy the package is cuz I didn't have $75 to blow at the time. so I guess if I had bought the whole package I would still be waiting like I am for my TRYX DVD.
oh well who am I to talk, just ask Glamdrummer, I still have to send him a CD

I once got ripped off by PBF too. My PBF-LBWET T-shirt is of course threadbare, so I ordered a new T-shirt a few years back, when they came out with the Porn Stars cd. I also ordered a cd. Well, what I got was 2 cd's and a note saying "we're all out of shirts right now, so here's 2 cd's, and soon as we get the shirts, we'll send it out.
1. what am I gonna do with 2 cd's?
2. I'm still waiting for my shirt..........

I alwayz got my stuff from QBP back in the day. I still can't figure out why I didn't order a shirt back then.

Ana Black was another one that screwed me. Never got my demo that I ordered.

BBB was out of t-shirts when I ordered one. They said they'd give me a $12 credit. I wonder if they have any s/t cds left. [img]wink.gif[/img]

Dont knock anyone about this but Steve!!!!!Les,Chad and Dish have no say over the site or the orders,when I was in L.A with them this was one of the things Les was bitching about all the orders are coming in,the three of them have not seen a dime and when people arent getting their stuff they are calling Les or e-mailing him,its Steve's P.O box and hes is the one that receives the mail and runs the merch,he has all the merch and the money....maybe hes saving it for a rainy day!!! Do you guys not have a government federation to mention things like this too, so they can investigate, or a TV program like the British 'Watchdog' were they'll investigate such like things and ridicule them in front of millions of viewers???

You could also bug the hell out of (email every day or even twice a day, three times a day) TB Records in the UK or Artists Worldwide over there in the U.S. until they do something about it

If you have an email, we could all totally write and let them know that we won't drop a single dime on them until they start honoring these orders. Sandi..If you've got documentation for your payment, then take the bastards on small claims court. I'm not kidding. You'd likely win the case, and call me crazy (as usual), but it'd be cool to see a glam band on Judge Judy (albiet one that's being sued).

I've never ordered anything from PBF, but I've gotten stuff direct from Willow Wisp, Revlon Red, Rebel Rebel, and Stevie Rachelle, and never had a problem. The only snag I ever hit was getting "Mixed Up World" from Foxy Roxx, off their website. I waited a full year for that, then finally got up the proverbial balls to make a rude guestbook entry regarding it (since I didn't have any # to contact, and never heard back when I wrote 'em a letter about it). LMAO A few days later, Tony Starlin emailed me apologizing and asked for my addy. I got the CD-R a few days later, plus a bunch of extra stuff he tossed in to make up for it. what you need to remember is , if you bought it on e-bay then Steve or any of the other members of the band are not the ones selling it, If you bought it from Kingofbeers, I believe he is working for the band so in that case maybe the band can help, but if you got it from someone else not connected to the band then you probably won't have any luck going to court against PBF,

Billy you are correct about KINGOFBEERS , He is Bobby(BIGDAWG) who runs the PBF website. Also as for COTTONCANDY LOVER Steve is trying to resolve all of the online orders as fast as possible. As for SPIN DIZZY having eperience with the band well a visit dont mean much. Yeah he was at Gotham City when Steve talked to Chad and Lesli but he stood next to the bar the whole time and didnt hear shit ,and He should have known then that Dish has over 3 boxes of the new cd and Steve has to order more from TB records.

Hey sorry if I pissed ya off Sovain but its true Steve has control over the site,he doesnt sit there and do it himself BUT!!!!he does call the shots,the stuff I got on E-bay I received right away including that package that started this thread but if you try to get stuff through the site its a nightmare....PBF are me freinds and Iam the first to stand up for them when they are being bashed,but when it comes to the site and merch I know Steve is in control and if you need to reach someone about this prob Steve is the man. Yeah I beleive all the guys have a box or two of discs but they dont get the orders Steve does.

I've gotten a few other things from that seller with no prob. Dunno if it's the same person, but I too have seen Tryx DVD's for sale by someone with a similar user ID.

Yeah, his name is Gerry , he used to manage bands in L.A. from what I hear ( BBB etc.)
a friend of mine said the same thing about getting his stuff right away, it seems by his recent feedback that he just lately has had trouble getting items out.
Funny thing is that I believe he was going to sell Revlon Red cd's for us in the future so I hope he gets his act together cuz I don't want someone ripping people off and having connections to my band, I've been trying to straighten out all of our old problems with merch. as it is and I think I'm just about caught up.

by the way was the Tryx footage any good?

Hi,I got my PBF package thru a friend in the U.S., it did take a while but that was okay because it was a BIG DISAPPOINTMENT!!! First of all everyone that knows me knows i'm a BIG PBF fan but this was ridiculous, the t shirt was the wrong size, the cd was below average, and the dvd contained mostly interviews and about maybe 20 minutes of songs. It seems like PBF is becoming the next Kiss, with their repackaging of old stuff with a few demos thrown in and now this over priced and over rated package! Hopefully they get their act together and put out what we as fans really want maybe FULL complete concerts from their early years on dvd, and a box set of all the demos not a few at a time!But that's just my opinion anybody else agree with me?
