so i was in the store the other day...

going down the tea aisle....

and as i entered the aisle, there were these
two dudes... both complete dorks... one
wearing a muscle tshirt.. the other contemplating
which ketchup to purchase.

both of them were yacking on... but the
muscle shirted guy saw me coming down that
aisle and so he thought he was gonna be
cool and tough... so he backed up in the
aisle just enough so that i'd have to
either cut through them both... or go around
his back.

i chose the latter.

but as i did, he was like,

"oh, excuse me...."

to which i then realized i was some figment
of his imagination...

was that his way of generating some convo??
surely not!

i still proceeded on....

I must agree with Fiona. I was always told that what Wild is wearing is a muscule shirt. I also agree that it interesting the different names for things from different regions.

Is anyone familiar with the "wife beater" muscle shirts/tank tops?

Thanks to my ex husband/asshole, I can no longer stand to see a man wear the plain white "wife beaters", tank top no sleeves, undershirt.
I hate those now, and ofcourse he made every effort to make true the nickname of those damn shirts. Another reason why I hate those shirts now. Evereytime I am somewhere and see a guy pull off his regular shirt to reveal a "wife beater" shirt, I just roll my eyes, cringe and go on about my business.

I've heard of wife beaters aka slingshots and yep Wiqued that's mt take exactly. Lemmie tell ya that is one HELL of a muscle shirt!

It's almost like the shirt gives "praise" to the name and actions of being a wife beater. I think people tend to give to much bad credit to that shirt. It's just a SHIRT for god's sake and wearing one doesn't make ALL men a wife beater or turn them into one. However, you do have a few men who let that shirt and the actions behind it live up to it's name.

Either way, thinks to my past I hate that shirt, the nickname for the shirt, all together.

but to settle the previous discrepency....
to me, the only real difference between a vest
and a muscle shirt is a set of buttons.

a muscle shirt is any garment worn by a male
that has the sleeves specifically removed for
the sole purpose of figural aesthetics....

(which... don't do shit, imo)

but yanno... i'm not really one for the intentional
display of a body part.... and i think most anyone
that knows me... can verify that i do not really
care for males to walk around shirtless.

i dunno why... i just don't like it.

and almost IMMEDIATELY when i see this happening,
i just cringe and turn away. its somewhat instinctual.
