As i see it, it's theirs as much as your's. A last night with a single friend b4 he gets tied down.
Take it as it comes and enjoy it. After all the best man gets to take all of the blame not you.
My first stag night I ended up handcuffed to a lamppost in my boxers
My second stag night We formed a human pyramid and I sat on top of the clock outside the local library with three pints of bitter at 11pm, The fire brigade had to "rescue" me.
My third stag night I ended up being thrown down a flight of stairs by the BIGGEST bouncer I have ever seen for sitting on his lap and asking if he was the stripper (No sense of humour..)
Bats (The most married member of STP)
You'll probably enjoy it whatever happens, I wasn't particularly thrilled about going to my sister's Hen's Night at Showboys but of course I had to keep an eye on her and did end up enjoying myself too (watching your sister get sprayed with shaving foam by a near naked man is really quite amusing)
Why don't you want strippers? Even if the stripper's an eskimo girl jumping out of an ice cream cake?
See...if I saw a half naked man doing that to my sister, I'd probably try to clean his clock...
I don't know...I think it's maybe the fact that I have limited control over the type of stripper...knowing my brothers and friends, I'll end up with some washed up skank...ewwwwww...
Which would make you more appreciative of your soon-to-be-bride.
I'll provide the tunes!

Eh, it's your party. Tell them if they want strippers, then they can get married.

Just don't let them plan a paintball party! My Brother-In-Law's buddies did that. Everyone had a good time, but at the Wedding (two weeks later) they still had to put makeup on his forehead to cover the bruise!
We still don't know when or wherew we're going...stupid jobs...
I demanded NO bachelor party when I got married. Hell, if I wanna watch strippers there's like 50 bars in Winnipeg that have them...
Plus, getting drunk the night before your wedding is a BAD idea!
Well...we're looking to do it about 3 weeks prior...I hope the hangover will be over by then!
OMIGOD! You're getting MARRIED? Jaxom?!!
For reals? This isn't a joke? (Come on- I know you people!)
Congratulations!

Criminy- I duck out of circulation for -what?- a year? and look what I miss! Yay!
Yes...the wedding is honest to goodness legit...and it breaks Jelymo's heart...why don't you think we see her here anymore...?
(if that doesn't draw her out...nothing will... )
I was almost promoted to best man at my friends' wedding over the weekend. The groom and I sort of had an impromptu bachelor party. Easy to do in Vegas. ;)
We got separated and I had to make sure I talked to him before the bride the next morning. Just to get our stories straight and stuff. :)
<font size="2" face="Comic sans ms, Helvetica, sans-serif">One of my friends almost passed out during the ceremony. Apparently holding the jacket of a hungover groom is another chore of the best man. I seriously thought I might have to catch him at some point. :DQuote:

I would've liked to have toasted them. And told my friend that I've winged all three of the toasts that I gave when I was best man. Apparently the person who did get to be the best man was unprepared and caught totally off gaurd. I could've salvaged the situation if I hadn't wandered off to smoke.
all this hooplah and no one says "hey Jaye, nice guitar..."
why's it always gotta be about Jax, man?!?
Attention whore!!
I told you how nice it was. :)

Jace- I'm not suprised.
You know what's wierd is that I too was almost promoted to best man at a wedding ceremony.
My friend from college asked my to be his best man- and plan his bachelor party. I was really relieved when his brother stepped in and insisted on doing it. ('Cus I'm a girl- y'all know that, right?)
Anyways- I got to make a formal speech. It was it low key.
Otherwise, I've been demoted from maid of honor once to obligatory guest. That was an experience.
Poor Jellymo! Happy Jax!

my guitar owns your soul
I would have mentioned the guitar, but after staring at the hypnotic swirlyness I just sort of... where was I ?

Uh-oh!! We know who he's collecting them for don't we?
Hi Jaye!
Nice guitar!

In perusing this thread, I was struck by the profundity of two points made by Firebird:
<font size="2" face="Comic sans ms, Helvetica, sans-serif">Not to detract from Jax's well-wishing for gorgeous ceremony, but...Quote:

Why, amid all this hooplah, did no one comment on the "nice guitar?"
Why DOES it always have to be about Jax- is this a conspiracy or something? (Marriage-shmarrage!)
And lastly, does the damned guitar own Jaye's soul????!!!! And how did such an unluckly scenario occur?
Feeding the attention whore-
Yours truly,
Lulu.

<font size="2" face="Comic sans ms, Helvetica, sans-serif">Indeed it does, for I had to sell my soul to get it. That, my friends, is a Gibson Les Paul Custom Zakk Wylde Signature Model. The 306th ever made. List price on one of these babies is about six thousand dollars due to the mohogany body, maple neck, ebony fingerboard, EMG 81 and 85 pickups, Grover tuners, and gold plated hardware.Quote:

So now it is official. I have no soul left to give.
you can all go back to Jax's sleepover or whatever it was...
That long necked string thingee was a guitar?
unluckly?
WOW! I really like that word. Lulu, I think you have a future with Websters!
I thought it was a beer...
<font size="2" face="Comic sans ms, Helvetica, sans-serif">We tried to tell you Jax, before you ended up in the closet with it...Quote:

Asis- Yes, the word 'unluckly' is an archaic term- often mistaken for 'unluckily' or 'unlucky.' As a consequence, it is often misused. It is believed to derive from the yannish 'unluc," related to the latin 'luc ' (from when the Roman Empire seized Yannish territory). Luc means light- and unluc- no one knows since Yannish is a dead language.
In short, Unluckly refers to something ironic, (ie. seen in poor lighting)... and can sometimes denote bad cheese.
The Yannish were famous for bad cheese.
Thank you,
Lulu

I have a cousin who's Yannish. Strange fellow.
By Yannish standards I am.
oh yeah, like you're "normal"
Their customs are strange...
Has anyone here ever researched Yannish customs BTW? I wonder what a Yannish wedding would be like?
Maybe we should throw Jax an authentic Yannish wedding... or bachelor party. What do you think?
Of course, the soul-stealing guitar is a necessary element of any yannish festival....
What's all of this about Yanni now...???
